Staying in George's place was such a treat. Being one of the original homes in New Delphi gave it an extra special feel. It was very well equipped and so beautifully decorated, not to mention the amazing view from the deck. The setting definitely made us feel like we were experiencing the town more than just being tourists. The only downside was that it was hot when we were there and without air conditioning we had to leave the windows open at night and it got a bit noisy being right in the heart of town. But that said, being right in the heart of town is part of what made it such a special place to stay!
We were 8 , 2 families of 4 .We visited ans stayed 2 days in georges house . Thé house Is beautiful With an amazing view! It was easy to contact Georges And joanna Was really Nice. What a delightful house if you want to visit Delphi or just enjoy absolutely spectacular views. The children loved the fun loft. And our older kids loved staying alone in the basement apartment. We were there in a hat wave and missed having AC though. Absolutely beautiful large porch with breathtaking view. Delightful neighborhood tavernas with great food on the brink of gorgeous cliffs! Everyone loved it.
This house is a wonderful place to stay in Delphi. It is beautifully decorated with fascinating objects from around the world. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. It had everything we needed for a wonderful stay including a well-equipped kitchen. The kids very much enjoyed sleeping in the mezzanine beds. The large terrace was a great place to have meals while looking at the wonderful view of the mountains and sea. The large garden was perfect for our kids (8 and 10) to play in. The house is very central and it's easy to walk anywhere. Joanna, who greeted us on behalf of George, was incredibly friendly, helpful and interesting to talk to. She helped make our stay a really lovely one. Delphi is an amazing place to stay, it seems a real shame that so many tourists just pass through so quickly. The ancient site is fascinating and has a really special feeling about it. The town of Delphi and the ancient site are in a stunning situation in the mountains, it really is beautiful. As well as the archaeological museum, we also visited a really interesting museum 'Angelos and Eva Sikelianos Museum' which was about an amazing couple who tried to revive Ancient Greek culture in Delphi. The guides there are really knowledgeable and passionate about their subject.
What a wonderful home for a relaxing holiday! We had access to both apartments - upstairs and downstairs - as we were a family of 6 with two young kids aged 3 and 4. The kids loves playing in the loft! It was a real adventure for them :) The house is absolutely beautiful -- wonderfully decorated, very well-looked after, absolutely spotless and was equipped with absolutely anything and everything you might need! It felt really special to stay in a traditional villa dating back to the 1800s. It gave such an authentic twist to our stay in Delfoi. And the views out from the balcony are absolutely stunning - snow-capped mountains and views down to the bay? What more could you ask for! The house is located right in the centre of Delfoi and is surrounded by lovely tavernas and mini-marts -- so easy to pop out and get snacks or to go out for lunch. And yet, there was no noise whatsoever when we stayed. It was completely peaceful. Our boys loved the garden too! It was a wonderful stay and we can't wait to go back :)
George's house is beautiful inside and out, perched on a hillside looking over red tile rooftops to mountains and sea. It is fully equipped, in good working order and extremely well cared for by Ioanna who lives nearby and is ready to help whenever needed. Just about anywhere in the village is reachable within a 10 minute walk - 20 minutes to the archaeological site. Stray village dogs were not nice to my dog, but the house has a completely fenced garden so I could keep him out of their way.
