Our spacious one bedroom apartment with hardwood floors and large windows has views of the Portage Bay, Lake Union and the Olympic Mountains. The apartment is the back corner unit of a classic brick building making it both quite and cool while letting in plenty of nature light.
The most unique thing about our space is simply its size. At over 1100 sq ft. the apartment opens into several rooms each providing an opportunity for privacy. With doors separating the large bedroom, the living room, the dining room and the office our apartment is great for simply living in. It will comfortable sleep three adults with two people enjoying our new king Sealy bed.
Everything listed is available for use by our guest. Certain things like crystal and private belongings have been placed purposefully out of reach where we would like them to remain. All communication devices are open to use including a printer, wi-fi and 50" plasma with basic comcast service.
My wife and I will be in Southern California for the summer pursuing job opportunities so our physical interaction will be limited. The apartment is located inside a locked building and there will be two keys waiting for our guest.
We are both transplants to Seattle and love the neighborhood of Portage Bay we have settled into. The houseboat communities on both East Lake Union and Portage Bay help sustain a number of great local eateries and small markets in our neighborhood. Seattle neighborhoods are famous for their unique character and we are happy to share our local favorite places with our guest.
Seattle boast some of the nations best mass transportation and our apartment is located one block from three major metro stops. Street parking is also fairly ample in our area.
For guest visiting the University of Washington we would like to extend a special welcome. My morning walks across the University Bridge have been some of my best memories in Seattle. We hope to share the Emerald City with you sometime soon.

Great apartment in a perfect location. Will definitely reserve again when visiting Seattle.
This is a great apartment. Close to the lake and public transportation. 20 mins to downtown. Great French bakery nearby we ate breakfast every morning. Sean and Erin are great.
Very pleased with this apartment. Ample free street parking and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Large space, lots of light, convenient location, reliable WiFi, would stay here again.
Very bright, lots of room and very quiet. The location is easy to park and there's a number of places you can easily walk to in the Eastlake area and along several bus routes. I certainly suggest for those looking for something centrally located in Seattle.
Our stay was wonderful! The apartment is big and the bed is comfortable. It is super easy to get into the city center whether your driving or taking the bus. Highly recommended.
Very well lit, open, spacious apartment in Portage Bay with all the comforts of home. Public transportation easily accessible and a quick ride to downtown Seattle, U-district, or Lake Union. I-5 can get a little noisy when all of the windows are open, but otherwise quiet neighborhood. Sean & Erin were responsive and gracious hosts, would highly recommend.
Sean and Erin have a fantastic place in Portage Bay. Close enough to the action, but far away where it's quiet and peaceful. The place is spacious with tons of natural lighting. They were incredibly communicative and accessible throughout our stay. Would stay there again.
It is a great apartment to live and very convient to taking a bus to downtown Seattle.(about 15-20 mins) The location is great, which is just by the union lake and you can see the lake house along the shore. They are beautiful. The apartment is larger than I thought and it has everthing we need. My mom loves it. Sean and Erin are very responsive and patient to answering my questions. The only thing is the odor in the hallway, because is an old building with wooden floor and carpet. But it's not unbearable. I really like the aparment and the hosts over all. And I would recommend my friends living here.
Such a lovely space! Clean and cozy. Sean and Erin were great at response times and passing along all the appropriate information.
Sean and Erin were great hosts. They were very responsive throughout my stay and did everything to ensure I had a good time. The apartment was in a great location with easy access to free street parking. It's close to the freeway, but not terribly noisy. U-District, Capitol Hill, Downtown--all very short drives.
The apartment is in an early-1900 building. The noise was well contained to the unit so I wasn't bothered by any neighbors (and hopefully they weren't bothered by me) nor did the nearby freeway keep me up at night. However, some signs of the building's age included the creaky wood floors, the odor in the hallways (musty, but not unbearable IMHO), lack of power outlets and powered lighting (although natural light during the day was fantastic). The bathroom is relatively clean, although the shower curtain liner needed replacing (mildew). Towels were nice and clean.
The vintage kitchen wasn't luxurious, but it had a charm to it. The big screen TV is nice and hooked up to basic channels. The description says "Cable TV" but i was only able to access about 15 channels--I was hoping to watch the NBA playoffs :( The rest of the unit was very homey and comfortable. The living room furniture, the bed and bedding were nice and clean, too. It's priced right and I would consider staying here again.
