About This Listing
Our recently renovated house in the cultural district of fountain square is within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, grocery stores, parks, shopping, entertainment, and only 1.5 miles from downtown. Enjoy access to our kitchen, washer/dryer, a private bedroom and bathroom, and treadmill.
The treadmill, bathroom, and bedroom are all upstairs and away from the main living areas.
You will have access to our washer/dryer, our kitchen, and living room, which are in shared areas with us. We will work around your schedule as best as possible.
Interaction with Guests
We are usually around for some part of the day, but your room and bathroom are both upstairs and our bedroom is downstairs. We are available if you have any questions about the neighborhood or things to do.
Fountain Square is home to many different types of restaurants: traditional american food, greek, mexican, peruvian, an english pub, multiple pizza places, and authentic fresh chinese food.
Is is also home to many music venues, bars, a local brewery, and a mead style winery.
The newly finished cultural trail connects fountain square to downtown Indy by foot or bicycle. A short 1.5 miles will get you to the heart of downtown. There is free street parking in front of our house with plenty of spaces. There are plenty of bus routes with pickups a block from our front door.
Other Things to Note
We have a puppy that just turned one. She does not go upstairs unless we are up there, and we can put up a gate to ensure she doesn't sneak up there when we aren't home.
If you smoke we ask that you do it outside. Our front porch is covered so you can be out of the elements if it is rainy/snowy. If you use the kitchen please clean up any messes and put the dishes in the dishwasher. You can bring your pet as long as it's not a large dog, we don't have a problem with large animals but our dog gets a little anxious since she is only 12 pounds - if this is a deal breaker let us know and we can work something out.
Jeff's place was exactly what was expected. Location could not have been better. I stayed there for a concert at Lucas Oil stadium and it was just a 5 minute drive. The Fountain Square area was extremely lively and I look forward to exploring it more some day. The room was clean and tidy with access to kitchen and laundry (not needed this trip, but nice to know). Thanks to Jeff and Lindsay for opening your home up to me!
Communication was great with Jeff, and he was very welcoming. He was able to let me in electronically, so I learned a useful thing from him even before I met him. His charming house is decorated with pictures of bicycle adventures and races. My room was comfortable and spacious, with a closetful of extra blankets and pillows, a desk and chair with easy access to an outlet and a good light, and good wifi signal. Since I was here for work, this was very important! The bathroom was beautiful and commodious. I'll pick Jff's place the next time I come to Indianapolis!
Great stay, place was as described and the location was excellent. Jeff and Lindsay were perfect hosts: there to help, but not intrusive in the slightest. Highly recommended.
