About This Listing
Wild Orchard Guest Farm was built in the 1700s and was one of two farms on a 300-acre parcel. The guest house is the property's original farm house and has been lovingly restored and furnished with early American antiques and fine American crafts.
The Eleanor Room has a Queen Size Pencil Post Bed, decorative fireplace, writing desk, half bathroom and view of the back field and woods.
The Eleanor Room was named after Eleanor Roosevelt because one of the previous owners who lived here in the 1930's wrote to her at the White House. Eleanor wrote back and offered to send a snipping of some rose bushes from the White House garden. Both letters are framed in the room.
Guest are invited to relax in the living room, use of the dining and kitchen is available and the hot-tub, situated on the outside terrace is always available for my guests. Bathrobes are provided.
