About This Listing
Wild Orchard Guest Farm was built in the 1700s. The guest house is the property's original farm house and has been beautifully restored and furnished with early American antiques and fine American crafts.
The Alma Room has a King Bed and room to relax, with a love seat, writing desk, views of the woods and fields and full private bath.
Aunt Alma was a deaf Christian woman who was extraordinarily gifted in communicating with immigrants at Ellis Island. She started a home for immigrant girls that is still running as a non-profit Christian Hostel in Greenwich Village.
Guest are invited to relax in the living room, use of the dining and kitchen is available and the hot-tub, situated on the outside terrace is always available for my guests. Bathrobes are provided.
Interaction with Guests
I always like to greet my guests and show them their private room and guest house so they will be familiar with everything that is available to them during their stay. I like to give my guests as much privacy as they desire. I live on the property, not in the guest house so privacy is number one.
Wild Orchard is situated on 100 wooded acres, on a scenic dirt road. Very secluded and peaceful...
no..not in the country! A cab to Manchester would be about $65, plus tip.
Other Things to Note
Wild Orchard is a farm, and in as much we do have animals…two friendly Mini-horses, about 20 chickens and a family of peacocks…so you can expect to hear chickens clucking and an occasional squawk from our resident Polish rooster. The peacocks roam freely, and are always curious to see what is going on around the property...
Being respectful of the house and property, 100% non smoking property and because I have two dogs and others critters on property I do not allow other dogs.
