Why staying in places with lack of soul when you can have a room with character? Imagine a warm atmosphere, bringing you back in the 1900s, with furnitures and carefully choosen acessories, all well composed with with modern amenities and comfort.
My guest room, in the heart of the lively district of Berlin Mitte could host you for a short trip, business trip and is very well suited for a long term stay.
There is a proper bed (140 x 200 cm) and a huge sliding door dresser in the room. Even though you don't see it on the pictures: the room has a door that can be shut and locked.
A comfy couch is yours, as well as a matching antique armchair. Big curtains protect from sunlight - if you wish, and make the room even more private.
There are many bars and cafes, among them the famous Cafe OBERHOLZ, with its bloggers, IT and new media people, surfing day-in and day out and sipping their Latte.
Spots like Alexanderplatz or Hackescher Markt are in walking distance, about 7 minutes away.
There are also perfect connections to suburban trains and Underground.
A kitchen for home cooking and gatherings, a big bathroom for quick showers or longer endulgings: this is what you get, and on top a well-experienced host with passion for airbnb and hospitality.

Unluckily, Jay and I didn't get to meet in Berlin, but still I had a very pleasant staying at his apartment, which was confortable both for living and for moving around.
I slept very well on the bed, also.
Jay was in the midst of traveling when we arrived, and he arranged for a friendly neighbor to hand us the keys and show us around. The room is quite spacious, and has a very comfortable bed. Jay ended up going well out of his way, sharing drinks with us, taking us to an excellent "echtes" German restaurant in the neighborhood, and, on another day, met up with us and walked us through Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain to the Oberbaumbrücke, showing us interesting spots along the way. He was also willing to suffer my father and me practicing German with him, switching only to his (extremely good) English when our vocabulary failed us. The location was great, with easy access to the city (either walking or through the ubiquitous transit). Being right above Torstraße yields a little street noise, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was an enjoyable end to my visit to Germany.
Sauber und gute Lage! Bett war vor allem sehr bequem. Das Badezimmer super und sehr groß und die Küche ist super ausgestattet! Wenn du eine Bleibe mitten in Berlin suchst - that's it!
Amazing, so lovely to stay at Jay's place. Super efficient and easy to deal with. Best place in Berlin!
We like Jays humor!!!
Is a very very godd hostess!!!
The dept is really confortable!! and very clean!!!!
Great location and easy check in and check out. No complaints.
The reservation was canceled 9 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Jay's apartment is perfect. The room is quite big and full of light, it's clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is one of the best in Berlin. There are some nice stores right on the street, good restaurants and lifeful bars. What I liked most about the area is that it's not touristic and you can have the best Berlin experience!
Jay is a helpful and friendly guy who gave us great tips! (Check out the bar "Haus am See"!)
I highly recommend the room and I can't wait to be back soon!
The room and flat are beautiful and in the very trendy Mitte district. Different public transport options are close-by, as are lots of bars, cafés and shops. The Museum Island is within walking distance. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom and the rest of the flat were also very nicely kept and Jay's cat is adorable! The windows face Torstraße, which is a busy street even at night. If you're sensitive to noise I suggest bringing earplugs. If I could deduct only half a star for that it'd be 4.5...Jay wasn't in when I arrived but everything was arranged perfectly. We didn't see much of one another, but Jay was very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend staying at his place if you're looking for good value for money. This was my first time booking a room through AirBnB and it definitely encouraged me to do it again the future!
