Jane's place was clean, spacious, and convenient to get to from downtown. It was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood. She provided a co sleeper, stroller, and play pen for my one year old nephew too! There was an off street parking spot and washer and dryer which was nice too! Would highly recommend this place for big family trips. We will probably be back soon!

We loved having three rooms for three people. The location was pretty central, but it's residential and you need a car.

We had a great time staying at this location. With a family of 5 adults, the home was big and spacious. The host included plenty of amenities such as beach towels, rice cooker, pots/pans, etc. Location is great to the shops of Waikiki area. Costco is nearby! Also it is not too far from many of the great beaches like Hanauma Bay.

Jane's unit is in much better condition than the photos. Photos are quite a bit darker than the actual site. And the unit is very spacious with well equipped appliances. Jane also tried to help us to supply necessary appliances.

First the pros as there were only a few for us, location is good. The home itself is clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable in all three bedrooms. A/C in each bedroom works well when allowed to be on per the rules. This is where we realized we made a huge mistake booking this home. First and foremost, cockroaches, cockroaches, cockroaches! This word was nowhere in the description when I booked. We use Airbnb verses hotels in order to cook breakfast and/or lunch. This allows us to splurge on dinner. We were forced to eat out for every meal except our last evening. (still purchased pizza in order to toss what we didn't finish) What little food items we did purchase had to be kept in the fridge. Please be aware, the home owner lives behind the rental (attached) . This fact was also not in the description when I booked. Although rules state "no party and no loud talk after 10pm", what they actually mean is no talking or any noise period after 10pm or you will receive a message reminding you of "The Rules". Another rule states the A/Cs must turned off anytime you are out. I understand the need to keep costs down, however, we visited in July. Upon return from any time away, the home was hot and stuffy. Always took at least an hour to get the temperature back to a comfortable level. Also an issue for my family and I, we couldn't help but feel that our every action was being scrutinized. Just could not get comfortable in this home. We followed all the rules, although on vacation, we did not party, did not get loud and stepped outside for our smoke breaks during which someone would always step out to keep an eye on us. Security cameras were a welcome site however they also feel like surveillance and spy equipment. The homeowner obviously knew when we were in and out.

We loved staying at Jane's place. She was quick to respond and the location for us was great - 10-15 min drive to many shops and great restaurants! The home is spacious and there was AC in each bedroom.

We booked here 2 weeks ago for 6 people. Jane was quick in responding. Her husband was there to greet us at check in to give us the keys. When we parked, there were multiple cameras all around the house. To my surprise, I found out they live in the back of the house, which was not mentioned on the description. After reading Janes house rules/info binder we noticed a lot of discrepancies with her inventory so I messaged her through Airbnb to let her know so we won't be charged for the items that are missing or broken. There were missing dishes, towels, and the batteries for the AC remote was out as well as both hair dryers that were broken but later she gave us hers to use. The night we checked in, after a long flight, Jane invited herself into the place without asking if it was ok. She could have easily gave me the replacements through the door but she came in while some of us were sleeping. She entered 3-4 times to "solve the issue", but I personally felt like there was no privacy/boundaries. I understand this is your home, but when you rent it out to people there is common courtesy to ask if it is okay to come in. The next morning Jane messaged me at 7 AM asking if I was home. I thought it was the strangest thing like we were being watched of our every move as she said she noticed our car was not in the driveway and was worried. Anyways, we stayed there for 5 nights. Everyday we came back to the house I would get a strange feeling as if someone had come inside while we were gone. I gave them the benefit of doubt. Since Hawaii was so hot and humid, sometimes i would leave the AC on so it's not too hot when we come back, but every time we came back, the AC was turned off. I wasn't sure what was going on because I know they do not turn off automatically. I tested it out again and left them on purposely one time. Again, all the AC, including the fan in the living room was turned off, confirming someone has been coming inside to turn off the AC unit and the fan while we were gone. I was very upset and uncomfortable because this entire time someone have been secretly invading our privacy while we were gone. This is not legal! On top of this big issue, we would find dozens of cockroaches running around. Every night we would kill them. It's disgusting! We took pictures and recorded videos of them running around every night when we come home. The only thing I liked about this place was that it was spacious and is great for 6 people. We were always courteous and was not loud. No partying and always respectful of Jane's house. But if you don't mind someone invading your privacy...

Response from Jane:
Linda, Thank you for the feedback. Sorry for the bug issues. We will pesticides the entire unit for our next guests. I totally disagree as you mentioned invited myself into the place without asking. I knocked on the door before entering, and you texted me the issue and I came check on the issue and solve it right away. If you felt defended, I apologize. For the AC issue, it was clearly stated on the house rule that all ACs have to be turned off before leaving the house. We have remote can force all ACs to be turned off if they left on intentionally or accidentally. if you read Airbnb "Other things to Note", you can find I did listed security cameras there. If you read "Guest Access", you can find you only have access to the 3/2 unit layout not the entire house. I appreciate your respect my house, but I don't think we invaded your privacy. Thank you for your understanding!
