This charming daylight basement apartment has a wall of windows overlooking a forest in a beautiful, secluded area in Newberg/Dundee. Restaurants and wine tasting rooms are within walking distance. Dundee, Willamette Valley and McMinnville vineyards are close by; 1 mi. from George Fox University; 40 min from Portland; 100% solar-powered; 900+ sq. ft. Enjoy a private entrance to your perfectly private space in our geodesic dome daylight basement apartment. No smoking.

The space
You will feel you have walked into a quiet, enchanted place when you arrive. This beautiful space overlooks a forest and a creek, and the sounds you hear are birds and the water. We have six deer that come through as well.

The apartment has an open floor plan, with over 900 sq. feet. Beds are in the open space with living room and dining room. The whole house is a 100% solar-powered green home. There is one brnd new full bath. The queen bed has a new firm mattress and the futon is also a new, quality mattress. There is an option of a rollaway bed as well. The apartment is all yours, your private space. We live on the upper two levels of the house and make every effort to tread lightly, also the house is pretty sound proof.

There is a kitchen with a double burner, toaster oven, microwave, hot water pot, coffee maker, full-size fridge, and toaster. I also stock tea, coffee, cereal, milk, half and half, bread (in the freezer), eggs, etc. Laundry is available within the apartment as well if you need it.

This place is perfect for those visiting wine country or visiting George Fox University. We have a special rate for GFU parents who want to stay for an extended time to be near your kids for sports or music events, etc.

This is a no smoking home, including Canibus.

We are flexible on our check-in/check-out times when possible, so if you need it, just ask.

Guest access
You will park outside our house on the gravel round driveway. The spot in front of the house under the tree marked Airbnb is yours. Enter between the garage and house. You will see a deck and stairway going down to the lower level. Go down the stairway and at the bottom of the stairs you will find a door to the apartment. I'll send you a text/email with the code for the door on the day of your arrival.

Other things to note
There is a little deck outside your apartment. It does not have a railing, so be careful! That is why we do not recommend children.

The city of Newberg has instated a 9% tax for Airbnb. You can leave cash or a check on the table when you leave or I can send you a pay pal request or an Airbnb request if that is easier for you, just let me know.
