Only one block to the Gondola in Telluride's historic Depot district, the Jennings Home is spacious and convenient to town. The perfect place to stay with one or two families - comfortably sleeps up to 16 guests!
It has a king bed, 4 queen beds, one twin bed, one twin futon, and 2 double futons.
This home is ideal for large parties such as weddings, ski trips, family reunions, ladies - or guys - weekends, especially when being close to historic downtown Telluride and the Gondola are important. Fine furniture and electronics, and semi-private outdoor hot tub lend to the feel of luxury, and 5 bedrooms offer privacy.
You enter the home from Depot Ave into a tiled entryway. Go up one flight to the great room. It has a large living room and kitchen separated by a dining table for six. The living room has a gas fireplace, plenty of sitting room, and a large flat screen TV with DVD player as well as an iPod dock. The living room allows access to a deck with a BBQ grill. The kitchen has a breakfast bar for four, and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, gas stovetop, and Mexican tile floors. A utility room with washer/dryer, and full bathroom with a combination shower/tub are just off the kitchen.
A flight of stairs goes up to a sleeping loft with a twin futon and double futon, and access to the deck (shared with the adjoining Mintz residence) with hot tub that enjoys fabulous mountain views.
The master bedroom is on the ground level, with a king bed, flat screen TV, and attached bath with jetted tub, separate shower, and two sinks. The second and third bedrooms are also on this level; each has a queen bed and a TV. A bathroom with a combination shower/tub is located in the hallway.
Downstairs on the basement level you will find the fourth and fifth bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen bed and one bedroom has a TV. There is also a small child’s room with a twin bed. Accessible to all is the sitting room with double futon, TV/DVD and small kitchen, as well as full bathroom with shower only.
Parking for the home is on-street. The Gondola and Lift #8 is only 100 yards away, and River Trail is easily accessible from the cul-de-sac. The main street is 2 blocks up, where you'll find most restaurants and shops. Town Park (and Festival grounds) is 3 blocks staight up the River Trail.

Great experience start to finish. Painless arrangements, easy key pickup (accommodated for late arrival), and a great place! The host was easy to work with and the home was wonderful. Very clean, professional (they had hotel soaps at all the sinks!) and plenty of supplies like pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and towels. Luxurious bed (in the downstairs bedroom I used) and the perfect location for our Tahoe getaway. I had a great time and a great experience - thanks, folks!
This place was great! Hot tub was very nice. The BBQ worked great. There is so much space and everything was very in order.
Great house and nice use of space. Was a perfect getaway for two small families. Everything was clean, well maintained and worked properly. Not a big kitchen but the rest of the house was very nice.
RA Rentals was helpful in booking the place, and was accommodating and helped me book the place 2 days in advance. The booking went smoothly, and communication was fine, and the place was ok. This condo didn't feel that much like a home, but much more like a motel (except you get a whole house). If you stay here, I'd advise that you bring your own sponges, soap, pots/pans and knives (but the provided plates/utensils are ok). The house is definitely older, and you'll notice it, and the place definitely feels like a rental vacation home. If you come with these expectations, the place is fine, spacious enough, and relatively comfy if you're spending most of the day out skiing anyways.
It was a very stay and place. They gave us a warm welcome during check-in, along with a bottle of wine on the house.
The only issue was that when I contacted them through e-mail, they wanted me to call to a different number than the one in the contact info, and they took some time to locate my reservation. It gave me the impression that RA Rentals Agency and the place where I called then and did the check-in are not the same thing, and there was some miscommunication between them about rentals through AirBnB.
The location is a 10 minute drive to the Heavenly ski resort and Heavenly Village which was great. The home was spacious and had enough beds to sleep a large group of people. However, everything about the house - from the furniture to the decor to the appliances seemed like it had not been updated in 30 years. Additionally, the lighting was very dim, the cable did not work, and we had a lot of trouble getting the microwave to function.
RA Rentals was very responsive but I did not receive any further communication from my host about picking up my key. I had to contact the Rental company myself to get the information I needed.
We will not be staying here again.
The condo is very beautiful and clean. Love the open floor plan in the living room and the kitchen. Will stay here again.
We had a great time at Mountain Ellen w/Hot Tub. It was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Finding the office to pick up the key was little confusing, but once we called it was properly communicated. Great lodge with hot tub for a Tahoe ski trip.
This is a well maintained house... close to amenities and quite comfortable for 3 families. While it does have 4 bedrooms, the 4th bedroom has 2 single beds which would not really work well for couple, but worked great for a 3 year old and an 8 year old. Note... other reviews mention a hot tub... no hot tub. :-)
Great service and house. We got in at 4pm and the key was ready and the house was easy to find with their directions! The house was well kept, beautiful, and you could ski down to our back door. To ski in the AM you just walk 100 yards to the lift. Highly recommended
