What a great, warm, private place. I was traveling for a conference downtown at the Moscone center and wanted something close to downtown, yet not crazy expensive, private, comfortable with internet to catch up on work, a tv to relax and a small kitchen to have a feeling of home while away.
The flat is 50 yards away from the subway and only a few stops from downtown. A quick 3 block walk and voila.
Erik was a great host, checked in for my needs, and all was great.
The flat has an extremely comfortable big bed, couch and coffee table to relax, with a kitchen table for a morning break.
The flat is a warm old style, with that really nice charm. The bath is freshly painted, clean and a perfect balance for the non hotel, without the feeling your invading someone else's home. There are pictures on the walls, but no personal chachkis.
I didn't get a chance to checkout the park, and there looked like some Nic walking around.
It was a bit noisy from the street, but closed the windows, and there aren't any shops for food in walking distance, but just grabbed some stuff before jumping on the subway and all was set.
Erik's apartment was a great pleasure and was so convenient to public transportation to get around the city and airport. The apartment is a very spacious and oversized studio with a fantastically comfortable bed and wonderful kitchen and super shower. The sitting/TV area was plenty big for two of us. All the linens and towels were comparable to higher end hotels. The high ceilings and abundant wood trim reminded us of the nicer places we have stayed in Europe.
The weather during our trip was unseasonably warm and the apartment is a corner unit with windows on two sides which allowed great cross ventilation. The only slight drawback is the location to the Muni Station busses right outside the window can be a bit noisy so if you are not used to urban street noise you may need to shut the windows when retiring. It was not a problem for us and it would not hamper us renting Erik's apartment on future visits.
Erik is a gracious and friendly host and made himself available at all times. His information prior to the visit was most helpful and he personally assisted our settling in to the apartment. He responded quickly to our inquiry about renting his place and expedited the rental process which, as first time airbnb visitors, we greatly appreciated. We recommend Erik's apartment without reservation and look forward to future visits.
Thank you so much Erik for taking such good care of us! The apartment was great and just a few feet from the Muni station.
We definitely recommend this apartment for everyone who wants to go to San Fran! Erik is the best host :)
We wanted a place for a 3 week stay. Our requirements were
a) Close to public transport
b) Easy to park the car
c) Easy to get to Silicon Valley
d) Internet Access
e) comfortable and large enough for 2 folks to be together or separate (while I was working in the evening)
The place was perfect. Very large front room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. It was exactly as described. Wonderful.
Erik made us feel at home and was always responsive to our queries. We would certainly stay there again.
I've came back to the same place for second time. It was definitely comforting. Erik was very pleasant as always and welcoming not to mention the location is perfect for my vacation. I'll definitely be back for the third time.
We had a wonderful time staying at Erik's LOVELY apartment. He was there to greet us and was (is!) very friendly and helpful. Erik made sure we had everything we needed and made himself readily available. We had rented a car and had no trouble finding parking. The neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous; it's quiet and the apt. is right beside a MUNI stop. Really, a terrific location. I will definitely rent this apartment again in the future!
Great apartment in SF with easy parking and very central location. Erik was a great host. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
