Best possible stay minus a parking ticket which was my own fault, Darcy and Riina were just amazing, very helpful as me and my partner moved to halifax and stay while we looked for places. Cheers see you soon dinner at my place :P
Darcey and Riina are very great host. They were very generous and helpfull. The location was perfect for us and the bed was very very comfortable!!
Darcey was a great host! He's friendly and sociable, and knows his way around Halifax and Nova Scotia. Picked up lots of great places to go. His place is walking distance to nearly everything in downtown Halifax and Point Pleasant park. Great food in the area and lots of things to do. Recommended.
Halifax - Darcy and Riina
The house was easy to find.
This was our last evening in Halifax, before catching the early morning bus to Saint John (as the ferry from Digby (NS) had run aground the day before, and we needed to be in New York in 2 days time.)
The house was clean and tidy, warm and comfortable, and very conveniently located for the bus station.
We were made most welcome by Darcy and Riina, who were very helpful and offered useful advice, and did not seem to mind that we would have to be up before the crack of dawn, to catch a bus.
They made it easy for us to go on our way with a good sleep and a good breakfast. We would definitely like to stay there if we are ever in Halifax in future.
Darcey was a very accommodating and lovely host! The room was comfortable and quiet, and we loved being able to walk everywhere. When we arrived the smell of freshly baked bread greeted us :) Overall, a wonderful Halifax and Airbnb experience- we highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the east coast.
Darcey was a great host, kind, considerate and very hospitable, he makes amazing bread on your arrival and provides you with endless recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The sushi place in the building is amazing as is McElvies seafood restaurant in town. The room was cosy and the apartment was clean and tidy. If you are a light sleeper the main road can be a little noisy, but that is the only slightly negative I have. My boyfriend and I would be sure to recommend Darcey and Rinas' apartment to anyone looking for a homely stay in Halifax.
My father and I had a great stay here! Darcey was very accommodating during the booking process, and even accommodated us to stay a couple of nights early on very short notice when we arrived in Halifax ahead of schedule from a cycling trip. All around, a very friendly and helpful host. The apartment was nice, the bed was comfortable, and of course, the fresh bread was delicious. Great location - very close to Superstore, the farmer's market, the train station, and the harbour. Would definitely recommend this place to others!
Amazing host to my dad, brother and I. was able to accommodate our needs. Even baked fresh bread every other day. really nice
I only stayed one
night at Darcey's.
He is a nice no nonsense guy who was very helpful to get my luggage upstairs and gave me all freedom to enjoy the appartment. the room itself isn't big but had all you need to be comfortable. Though for me the comfortable bed was very high! In the morning I woke up with the smell of wonderful home baked bread! It's an adress to remember!
Darcey is a great host and his place is very close to the sites you will want to explore in downtown Halifax; we were able to walk everywhere.
