The village square is just a few minutes away. There you can find all basic amanitas. This house is away from touristy areas. Staying at this house will give you a memorable village-life experience. Your neighbours will mostly be fishermen and farmers! Since Gozo is a small island you can visit any on the villages and beaches in just a few minutes. The capital city of Gozo is called Victoria. There you can find museums, attractions, shopping, cinema, parks...etc. If you are looking for anything in particular please don't hesitate to ask!
Getting to the house is easy. We normally suggest to our visitors to book an airport mini-van transfer that will take you from the airport in Malta, to the house in Gozo. We can help you with this. If you want to rent a car or jeep, you can also book it with the same company. There are always parking spots available outside the house.
Renting a car is obviously the best option to explore Gozo. But if you do not want to rent a car you can use Gozo's public transport. The bus network in Gozo is very efficient and cheap! You can use it to visit all the major attractions and beaches on the island. There is a bus-stop just a short walk away from this property.
We had a great time on Gozo and the accommodation was ideal. Michael and Jeffery were great hosts, I would recommend the farmhouse to anyone. The weather was not quite warm enough for us to make full use of the available facilities( to cold in February to use the pool, the indoor hot tube was used quite a bit)
The stay at the Holiday House in Xewkija, Gozo was a pleasant stay for all of us. The house is beautiful, with a beautiful pool and a nice neighbourhood with friendly neighbours. Michael was as expected a great host, he waited for us long into the night, a nice little breakfast was pre bought and waiting for us, and the house was clean and nice for us to move in to. Gozo turned out to be one of those hidden pearls, without very much tourism, even though we were there in the "high season". It's way to much to see and experience for one week, so I definitely think we would like to return one day,
Thanks for the stay!
