Lesle saved the day, or should I say weekend?! After having another host cancel our reservation, we contacted Lesley and she was able to accomodate us for the weekend. The cottage is bright and cheerful, as well as clean.. It is withing walking distance to Fort Williams-a spot not to be missed. Easy driving distance to Portland as well. Thanks to Leslie for a wonderful stay.....we look forward to a return visit.
Lesley was so accommodating and kind. The cottage is in a very nice area, within walking distance of the beach and very close to nice little shops in South Portland. We traveled with our two small children, and the cottage is certainly tight with that many people, but not unmanageable. We had everything we needed and were very happy. There are even toys in the closet, which is so helpful when you're traveling with little ones.
Leslie has a simple but well thought out cottage a short walk from Fort Williams park in Portland. Its a great location, placing you minutes from downtown yet far enough away to get away from the city feeling. Everything was great, very easy no drama rental for us and we will be back in the future.
Good value home from home Cottage - with all you could want for a relaxing stay in Maine. Great location minutes from downtown Portland by car (easy, inexpensive parking in town) and just a short drive from lovely sandy beaches. Walks on rocks and by lighthouses minutes on foot from the house. Great supermarket with integral Farmers' Market a short drive away. Lesley was a great host - easy to contact and very helpful with local information. Many thanks!
My husband, our dog, and I had a lovely long weekend stay at this simple, but well appointed cottage. It's conveniently located close to Fort Williams park with great views of the ocean and lighthouse. It's a short ride to Portland and served to be a great jumping off point for us to explore the area. Lesley was great and accommodated our late, after-work arrival.
Our stay at Lesley's was so fantastic ! So close to a great beach a quite area and a perfect little home away from home . Lesley's was very accommodating and we will be coming back as soon as we can . This place is perfect for a couple looking to have a nice place to stay in cape elizabeth ;)
Lovely little cozy cottage and Lesley is a delightful and welcoming host. The area of Cape Elizabeth is full of wonderful things to see and do and the cottage is centrally located so exploring is easy.
We fully recommend this cottage for couples or small families like ours (we were travelling with our baby and were happy to find a high-chair and plenty of toys waiting for us at our arrival). The cottage had a cathedral ceiling in the main room which is a plus for tall travellers. Lesley is a wonderful host and the cottage was quite adorable with all the utilities you may need. Also, the cottage was an excellent home base to explore tourist attractions in Cape Elisabeth (such as Two Lights State Park, Crescent Beach, Maine Lighthouse) and which were accessible by car such as Portland, Boothbay Harbour, Maine Botanical Gardens, Ogonquit and Old Orchard Beach.
We loved our time at Lesley's house in Cape Elizabeth. The house is perfectly located in a gorgeous neighborhood... it's a quick walk to the beach (across the street), about a mile walk to coffee and a very cute bakery, and a 20 minute drive to Portland. The house is spacious for 2 people, but would not recommend for more than 3-4. Clean, comfortable, large kitchen with everything you need to cook! Have fun!
We had a fabulous week in this adorable cottage!! It was lovely, comfortable, clean and in a great location. The private beach is beautiful, Fort Williams is a great state park and we were just a short drive from Portland. Lesley is a great host and had all of the amenities we needed. We will definitely be back.
