Conveniently located on 5th and Adams in the center of Hoboken. I hope to see you soon !
Located in the geographical center of Hoboken you will find my convenient and walk-friendly walk-up.
1 bedroom rail-road style apartment with 3/4 of the total space covered by nice hardwood floors, comfortable Queen bed with fresh sheets and blankets to boot of course.
There is one small room I use as storage/closet space and workout room that separates the bedroom from the living room which you can store suitcases etc. to get them out of your way during the stay.
You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner all week without hitting the same place twice but if you find yourself in the kitchen, you will be fully equipped to cook meals with a new gas stove, microwave and refrigerator that you may use as your own (as well as utensils, cookware etc.).
bathroom is SMALL but the shower is hot and everything works as it should!
WHAT IS THE PLACE EQUIPPED WITH? :
-Large flat screen TV in living room with a decent DVD collection as well as use of my XBOX 360 for DVD's or my NETLIX . Otherwise you can use my CHROMECAST for the Netflix account to use your own NETFLIX etc.
-Basic local TV channels (very basic free cable TV)
Interaction with Guests
If i am not in town during your stay I will leave the keys with a neighbor but I am just phone call away for any questions and have friends around town if for some reason you would need assistance!
Makes for a great hub for NYC, as well as having its own great bar/restaurant scene. For starters, my place is one block away from the famous Fiore Italian deli...you will remember this homemade mozzarella forever. I personally enjoy my place because it is off of the beaten path and has some true gems that you might not otherwise visit if you stayed directly down town at the W, YET you can be downtown in a matter of minutes.
GETTING AROUND TOWN:
-You can hop on a bus (usually the 126) which will bring you to NYC Port authority if you head up town OR it will bring you down to the PATH train and bus terminal if you don't feel like making the 15 minute walk for some reason.
Also, ANY taxi cab ride to any part of hoboken is a $6 .
Major Airports: Newark and LaGaurdia
Completely accessible by public transit as I travel fairly often and I do not own a vehicle.
-The place is meant for two people maximum, it is not child friendly and no pets are allowed in the building.
Just treat my place as you wish for your own place to be treated (unless your crazy) and everyone should be happy!
- Respect my neighbors who are all super nice and friendly
-No smoking inside
-Take out any garbage that accumulates
-Don't break things or steal from me
-Do not lose house keys
This was our first Airbnb experience, and we felt very comfortable with Matthew's listing. From the get go, he was helpful and easy to be in touch with. On the day of our arrival, we coordinated with Matthew about our eta, and my husband and I arrived late afternoon. Matthew met us at the parking garage and walked us over to his apartment, which was a short distance. It was a really nice gesture to help us get to his place, orienting us with the area and pointing out several landmarks and places to eat. We had been in contact with Matthew in the week leading up to our reservation, and it felt like we already knew him! His apartment was exactly as described; very well kept and organized. The building is a very cool older one, so his apartment had a neat pre-war layout. The size of his apartment was perfect for the two of us, and he made us feel very welcome and at home. Before departing and leaving us his place, he very sweetly left us with a bottle of champagne for New Year's (it was New Year's Eve)! We were extremely happy with our stay, and hope if we are ever back in the area, we can return.
Great communication. Centrally located in Hoboken and minutes from Manhattan. Matthew is a great host and communication is top notch. Good to know such great alternatives exist!
Matthew was very welcoming, helped us find parking & gave us a wonderful introduction to the apartment. The apartment is exactly as he pictures and describes. The apartment is a few blocks from Washington Street which is absolutely loaded with great shops & restaurants. Hoboken is a wonderful area!
I stayed the weekend while attending a seminar in Manhattan. Hoboken was a great and cheaper alternative to staying in the city. Matt's place was a short walk away from the PATH trains, which took me right in to where I needed to be. I had never stayed in Hoboken, but Matt was very thorough in helping me get situated and pointing me in the right directions. Matt's apartment worked out great! It was clean and had all the essentials. It was quiet at night so we were able to get a decent sleep. Safe neighborhood too. Overall, it was a great experience and have no complaints. I'll definitely look Matt up again if I need to stay by the city again. Thanks!
We ended up staying at Matt's place and it was perfect for the weekend.
The apartment is exactly as depicted in the photos. It fits two people comfortably and was very clean! Matt was nice enough to leave towels and bathroom amenities aside as well.
The bed is comfortable (we fell asleep quickly and woke up feeling great)
AC in the bedroom and kitchen.
WiFi is fast and the Xbox and Chromecast made it easy to be entertained late at night. There is a computer available for use as well.
Kitchen was equipped with anything you would need (although we didn't do any crazy cooking)
The shower is a bit small but it was clean and got the job done.
All in all it was a pleasant experience and Matt was very quick and approachable about any questions I had. If you are looking for a cozy place for the weekend that is literally a 10 minute walk to the path station to NYC or the bars in downtown Hoboken then this is a very comfortable and clean place to stay.
I'm not new to the Hoboken area since I lived there for several years. I did, however, end up making a last minute planned trip to the area for a couple of days and not only did Matthew get back to me in a short amount of time but he offered a great deal.
Matthew was there to greet me when I arrived. He definitely seemed like a really nice guy which was extra cool because it was my first time using AirBnB. Usually I just stay at the W hotel but really this was a much better option. It's a bit more of a walk to the PATH but really it's a straight shot in one direction then a straight shot in the other. (And I did it in a rainstorm one night so ... believe me I know.) You won't get lost.
He didn't really need to tell me anything about the area since I've been there before & we talked a little bit about that. The place is great. It's also right next to a convenience store which makes life easier after trekking through New York or New Jersey all day. He said I could check my email, watch Netflix or if I could figure it out Chromecast. I actually did use the later since I have a Nexus 7 tablet. Ha!
I was mostly there just during the sleeping hours but honestly it was a great experience all around and I'm looking forward to using Airbnb more in the future thanks to Matthew who was an awesome host. Thanks Matthew!
