  • Had a lovely time and felt so very welcomed by warm-hearted Judy and Wendell. They have an idyllic spot on the lake, with a relaxing deck festooned with flowers. A canoe and pedalo on the lake await to be played with too. Such a delightfully tranquil spot, well placed on the edge of RMNP.

  • Location:
This is an out of the way, quiet spot on the lake. It is quite beautiful and wonderful. If you are looking for party central, this is not it. If you want to get away, be surrounded by nature and relax this is perfect.

They had a lot of information on the surrounding area available and were happy to give advice on places to stop. My husband and I often visit the Grand Lake area so we just needed a few updates on recent changes. However, this location was so lovely we rarely wanted to leave. We actually decided to forego the 4th of July fireworks for a quiet evening on the lake and some fun games with our hosts.

There is a canoe, paddle boat, lots of opportunities for fishing. In the cabin there are lots of games and a TV in your room (although I don't know why you would want to use it)

We spent a lot of time on the lake in the canoe and fishing. We were able to do some fly-fishing on a private section of the Colorado River with the permission of the owner at that was wonderful as well.

Our hosts, Judy and Wendell White were very kind and fabulous. They often made us breakfast in the morning and we enjoyed sharing stories with them. They made us feel very welcomed, just like we were family. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you!

  • We had a great stay and Judy and Wendell were great hosts. They made us feel like family and very welcome in their home. After a long day of driving, the lake was a welcome sight. Calm and peaceful... exactly what we were looking for on a one night trip out of Dodge. We actually wished would could have stayed a bit longer, but we wanted to get on the road and explore RMNP - which couldn't be any closer! We didn't see any moose, but a mom and baby dear in the morning. Oh and the towels smelled amazing!

  • We had a lovely stay at Judy & Wendell's cabin. The location is great, there was a canoe and paddle boat to use on the lake and the cabin was clean and homey. We had everything we needed for our stay and even got to see a moose walk through the backyard!! We hope to meet Judy & Wendell sometime as they were out of town for a family event. Our stay at the cabin was one of the highlights of our trip

  • Our experience at Judy and Wendell's lake house was absolutely incredible! We fell in love with Judy and Wendell's kindness and spunk, and their presence there only amplified the experience. The lake was beautiful and the canoe was comfortable and easy to maneuver. There provided all the fishing poles and equipment you could need, as well as directions to a fantastic natural hot spring close to their house. Our stay was wonderful and we'd love to return.

  • Judy and Wendell were perfect hosts. They treated us like family and made sure all our needs were met. The place was fabulous, we loved the cabin, the comfortable beds, the lake and the awesome breakfast. We will definitely be back and recommend the place to anyone

  • My husband and I truly enjoyed Judy and Wendell's cabin home and their friendly conversation made us feel so welcome. Perfect location for quick access to RMNP and downtown Grand Lake. We missed a house moose sighting by a couple of hours but in the backyard, the rare flower, Fairy Slipper, was an amazing sight to behold! The use of the paddle boat to take milkweed pod photos and canoe use for trout fishing were an additional morning treat after a wonderful breakfast at The Whites.

  • A beautiful setting, a lovely cabin, and we had a wonderful time!
The kids loved the swings, playhouse, games, and toys.
We had so much fun taking the canoe and paddleboat out for a spin. We saw a huge moose pass through the yard on our last night there!

  • We had a wonderful stay at this cabin with Judy and Wendell! I wish we had a little most time to relax in this beautiful lakeside cabin. One of us missed our flights and we ended up reaching rather late in the night. We had to leave early next morning. If you want to enjoy a relaxing day by lake, this is the perfect place for that.
