I’m renting my entire apartment in the great central location of Portobello. Recently renovated, my place has a nice modern feel to it and is within walking distance of Dublin city centre – St. Stephens Green is just 10 minutes away.
The apartment is nice and spacious with good light and comfortably sleeps 4 people in 2 double beds. There’s also two good sized bathrooms (1 ensuite) so no queueing in the morning!
There’s a separate living and kitchen area that’s been recently renovated and includes 4 ring electric cooker & oven, fridge, microwave, washer/dryer, lots of storage space and all the kitchen equipment you’d need to cook and have a quiet night in if you don’t feel like availing of any of the restaurants in the area. Help yourself to anything in the cupboards, I live here when it’s unoccupied so the basics are all here.
Guests have full use of the apartment – TV, Wifi, DVD player, iron, hairdryer etc. Parking can be arranged if required but I’ll need a little bit of notice so please contact me for more details.
I’ll be there for a meet and greet on arrival and can answer any questions you have about the apartment and the area. I’m at the end of the phone for any troubleshooting and work locally most days so never too far away if needed - otherwise make yourself at home!
Portobello itself is one of the most vibrant, up and coming areas in Dublin with loads of amenities right on the doorstep. Restaurant-wise, there’s everything from cheap and cheerful to michelin star places a 5 minute walk away. There’s lots of great pubs, coffee shops, tea houses, delis and shops all within a few minutes as well, and also not forgetting the location right on the Grand Canal, a famous Dublin landmark.
Access to public transport is a 2 minute walk – buses and the green line LUAS tram are right around the corner (Charlemont stop) and there’s also a Dublin Bike stand 20 metres from the front door. For taxis, just walk out to the main road and you’ll never be waiting longer than a minute or two to hail one; alternatively I’d recommend downloading the Hailo taxi app for taxis to the front door.
There’s also access to the Aircoach for transport to and from the airport on Leeson St Upr (near canal) which is about a 10 minute walk or 2 minutes in a taxi. Taxis to the airport if you book in advance shouldn’t cost you more than 25-30 euro.
Basically my apartment is right on the canal at Portobello bridge and this is a good reference point to keep in mind for navigating the transport links. The closet tram stop (see above) is on the canal, as is the Aircoach for airport transport.
There’ll be a detailed information booklet here for when you arrive.

We spent a wonderful weekend in Wayne´s flat. He is a very friendly person, gave us a few interesting recommandations and let us feel at home.
The flat is perfect, nice neighborhood and not far from town centre.
I can highly recommend him!
Great place to stay in Dublin! Wayne was fantastic showing me around the place and making sure I would feel at home. The location is great, just a quick walk to City Centre, Ranelagh and Rathmines. The house is in great condition and very comfortable.
Wayne was awesome. I arrived late and he was super flexible and accommodating. He had left basic household accessories you take for granted in a hotel, but too few hosts don't have. He even went the extra mile and had, groceries, pints, local guides and insider tips, stuff to shower with just generally stuff to make you feel at ease. I loved the location and his generosity and would definitely recommend staying with Wayne.
Great apartment in excellent location. Very clean, tidy and welcoming, would definitely recommend.
Great apartment for a weekend in Dublin.Wayne was their to meet us and is really helpful and has made his apartment really comfortable.Shops, pubs, clubs, transport links all nearby and a 20 minute walk from Temple bar.Would def stay again, thanks Wayne great apartment and great host ....Andy and Jackie
Wayne is an extraordinary host! Very welcoming and accomodating! Goes all out to make sure you're happy with his place--which was very clean and worked out so well for our group of four friends who traveled to Dublin for two short night. Wayne was responsive to emails which made for an easy booking. Short walk to the central area of Dublin gave us some good exercise in the morning and a walk home in the evening.
Excellent place! Excellent location!
The flat was great. It is in a quiet area but close to all the areas in the City Center. Wayne had a great suggestion for dinner - Sussex Restaurant - near the flat. He also had a lot of supplies in the flat that were very handy. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin.
Wayne was a great host, he welcomed us at the apartment, showed us around and gave us personal tips about what to do in the neighborhood. The apartment was amazing and the perfect place for 4 people who want to visit Dublin! Wayne provided us with everything we needed - towels, linen, tea, coffee, hairdryer, you name it - he even had a bootle of prosecco for new years eve waiting for us. We can fully recommend this apartment, the city center and Temple Bar District are in walking distance and the next pub is right next door. We will definitely come back here if we visit Dublin again!
Thank you Wayne so much for letting us stay in your awesome, clean, well presented, great location apartment. No complaints at all. Was a very pleasant stay!
Do not hesitate to book this apartment!
