This secluded home was WONDERFUL and exactly as described. Susan was very generous and kind throughout the entire experience. Susan reached out a few days prior to make sure we were comfortable. Directions were clear as were the arrangements. Once arriving at her home, cookies were waiting for us, a note left, brochures of activities around the area, and everything was very clean. The home is lovely with a great deck, birds, and SILENCE. We'd certaintly consider staying again and can't say enough how nice Susan and her home were to stay in.
Susan's place was just great! My family and I had a wonderful time there and had plenty of space to both feel accommodated, while not feeling cramped. Her balcony was a daily treat for birdwatching and relaxing and her home in total was a very cozy (but spacious) place where we really felt able to just relax and be away from the bustle of NYC. Its very private and very well-supplied with everything that we needed. We highly recommend it for those that want an escape/retreat from it all.
We were very pleased with our experience. The communication with Susan was very smooth. The house was very comfortable and met all of our hot buttons: good wifi; good shower; clean. Susan even left us some treats, which was very nice. This was our very first Airbnb experience, and it was a good one.
As soon as we walked into Susan's house we were welcomed with a delicious tray of bread, as well as a beautifully set table - all ready for our weekend! Our eyes were then drawn to the birds at the feeders on the deck and we were mesmerized. Once we explored the house we loved the rooms, the space and the comfort. This was a perfect place to relax during graduation weekend. Peace, nature and comfort during an otherwise busy time!
Susan was extraordinary. The property was precisely as advertised. The sleeping arrangements were second to none. The kitchen provided more than we could possibly imagine for cooking a wonderful romantic dinner overlooking the serene backdrop of the mountains. Honestly, it felt as though we rented our own house from 30 years in the future. It was amazing and I am looking forward to my return.
What a lovely home and property Susan has! We absolutely loved our stay, even for how short it was (one night). Like others, we wished we had stayed longer. Everything about the house is as advertised, but it doesn't do justice to how beautiful both the house and property are in person. Very quiet and secluded area. We did not get to meet Susan, but she left us very detailed instructions and answered all our questions before we even asked! We only met one of the outdoor cats, and must say one of the friendliest cats we've come accross. May need to go back for longer, definitely exceeded our expectations. Thanks Susan!
Susan has a wonderful beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay. She was very helpful about the area and responsive to our questions.

About the Host, Susan
A professional woman who loves living in the country but also craves the culture of the Ithaca / Cornell area. I have no children, so the house is not child proof. I have no pets, but two lovely, friendly cats live outdoors and bed down in my garage. I would like folks to respect and care for my home as I would care for theirs.
I grew up in Queens and on LI but I am at home here. I wish I had some home-made maple syrup to share with you, but it's all gone from last year. Next year...
