Renovated in 2024 with the goal of creating more than just a vacation rental, we've carefully designed every detail to ensure it feels like a true home away from home—for our family, friends, and yours! Whether you’re here to relax, explore, or simply enjoy quality time together, we’ve optimized every corner for the ultimate getaway experience.

The space
A balance of classic Colorado charm and modern amenities, Hinterland Haus is a family cabin located on a wooded acre with a meandering creek and is host to an abundance of wildlife (including moose and bald eagles!).

Situated along the Blue River is our small, secluded community, located just 5 minutes from historic downtown Breckenridge and its world class ski resort. While immersing yourself in nature, enjoy a host of amenities in this newly renovated A frame.

Venture an hour in any direction and find countless world-class ski resorts, hiking and biking trails, waterfalls, lakes, and quick access to I70 and nearby airports.

As the largest historic district in Colorado, the Town of Breckenridge is the perfect marriage between charm and modern amenities for all ages. You’ll find everything from local boutiques to large brand stores such as Patagonia and North Face, a mix of local breweries, fine dining, and the highest floating restaurant in the world!

Prior to check-in, we will provide a passcode for easy, keyless entry to the house which can be accessed at any time after the check-in. Please reach out if you need to store your luggage somewhere prior to check-in and we will try to accommodate you so you can go explore the area while you are waiting!

Other things to note
AWD or 4WD is highly recommended between the months of November-April. Even if there isn’t snow in the forecast, the weather changes quickly and we could be blessed with a snow storm at any time!
