About This Listing
The apartment is spacious and beautiful. It is recently renovated and located 10 minutes walking from Saint Peter's Square. There are 2 bedrooms , one with a double bed and the other (smaller) with two single beds (bunk) .There are two very beautiful bathrooms , and a big living-room united with the (website hidden) the living room there is a sofa that can open, becomes double bed and guests 2 other persons. There is also a very big balcony that is looking in a green small common park of the residence(very well kept). In the balcony there is the washing machine and also the house is equipped with a dish washer ,TV, iron , hair-dryer , towels and kitchen ware. There is also a parking downstairs that can be used for the people that come by car since in Rome is very difficult to find it!The apartment has a strategical position , since you can easily arrive by foot at different attractive points of the city. There are many buses that you could take to go anywhere in the center , and if you walk 15 minutes there is also the metro stop ''ottaviano'' just out of the entrance of the Vatican City and the museums.Around the area there are plenty of restaurants , a bakery , a greengrocer and a tobacco shop. The apartment can fit perfectly and please from a couple until a whole family!!!The only disadvantage of the house is that close to it there is the train station of San (website hidden), specially from Monday until Friday you can from time to time hear the train passing .This was not a problem for me that i lived there two years with my boyfriend! But we like being honest with everything so i give you also this information, because nobody is perfect...
Perfect can be only your trip in Rome!
Very safe neighbourhood! Beautiful residence , you can find easily parking position on the white lines that is for free..
Bus 46 passes from via aurelia, walking less than 2 minutes ( the stop is under the bridge). Bus 46 takes you to Piazza Venezia ( 5 min walking from Colosseo)..
Bus 64 takes you to termini but the stop is more far. Around 10 min walking. Walking to san Pietro square you see a tunnel. Just before the tunnel is the stop!
Other Things to Note
Do not disturb the reception of the residence. The house has absolutely no relation with the residence that works like a hotel. You have to communicate always with me (Dafni) for everything that happens ( arrival time/keys)..
Please smoke only on the balcony. The neighbourhood is quiet and residential so please don't make noise especially at night so we avoid problems with the neighbours.
Finally the guests have to throw their own rubbish before they leave the appartment. The rubbish is on the opposite side of the street Via Aurelia, walking down , the first street on the left!
This apartment and its hosts were excellent. Location great and public transport was easy and accesible. Apt.was clean, large, comfortable and very cozy. Dafni and Lorenzo were very helpful and nice as well as being very understanding when our flight was delayed. Would defininetly recommend it / rent it again.
Dafni and her partner were excellent hosts, providing great advice and support whenever needed. The apartment was spacious and the balcony was a fantastic addition for hot summer days. Ideal location for visits to the Vatican/St Peter's Square.
Right from the time of our booking and all through our week in Rome Dafni was very helpful and allways answered messages and e-mails very quickly. She and her husband also gave us a list of good restaurants so we could avoid the most touristic places. The apartment was exactly like in the pictures and we enjoyed the big balcony very much as it allowed us to enjoy the sun in the 'afternoon break' and a nice bottle of red wine in the evening when returning from one of the many good italian restaurants we visited:) Even if you booked a hotel room with a balcony, you would never get one as privat, sunny and cosy as this one! And with just 800 metres to the St. Peter's Square we could practically walk everywhere we wanted:) next time we go to Rome, Dafni's place will definitly be the first place we check for availability!
