Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Star of the Wild is what the Airbnb experience was meant to be. Unique and immersive.

The bed! It rolls out! Sleep under the stars in perfect comfort. Want to go inside, roll it in. You can do this without getting out of bed! We live in an area with no light pollution. View the stars from bed as they were meant to be seen. It's amazing.

The shower is in the greenhouse. The jungle shower. It's inside but like outside.

The views. Stunning in every direction. Come see for yourself. Be renewed.

The space
The cabin is on the edge of National Forest. Walk out your door and hike for miles. The views are amazing! Forty miles to the west and a hundred miles north and south.. Accessible but definitely in the wild.

This cabin is off grid. It's totally powered with solar. We always seem to have some project going on so there will be action around and in the greenhouse.

We are in a dark sky zone. We do not have yard lights. Bring your headlamp.

We are 5 minutes from Penitente Canyon. Miles of bike trails and great rock climbing.

Other things to note
This is a unique experience. We live on the property. We will be around but you can be as private as you care to be.

The shower is in the greenhouse around a hundred yards from the cabin. The hot tub is available for your enjoyment. Let us know several hours in advance. It's wood fired so it takes a little time to heat

We are sorry about our pet policy but we have donkeys that do not like dogs. They do like humans and would love to meet you!

There is a very good breakfast place five miles away. La Garita Trading Post.

There is a two burner cooktop in the cabin. Also a small fridge. There is a gas grill outside that you are welcome to use.
