  • Let me just start off by saying, I am a fairly picky person about where we stay on vacation, and this place was really quite perfect for our family of 6! Pride of ownership is evident here. Everything is updated and nicely decorated. The house was clean, had plenty of beds to sleep everyone, and supplies for cooking many different dishes. The basement was convenient for times when our older children needed to play, while trying to get our littlest to sleep. The basement had some toys and Wii (only 1 remote, so bring your own, if you need more), and a few board games. They even have baby gates for safety! The outside was a little less appealing, not the house, but the area around, but seems like it is in the middle of revitalization, so will be even better, and I felt safe there, even w/ out the use of the optional alarm system.
We also really enjoyed the close proximity to everything. Great option for large families!
The owner was extremely kind, and flexible, super to work with.
Looking forward to staying here again, when we come back to Louisville!

  • This property and its owners (Specifically Rebecca) were fantastic. The house is well kept, with comfortably furniture, and easily held 7 of us. Rebecca was easy to communicate with, responsive, and checked on our comfort several times during our stay. In addition, the bathroom and kitchen are stocked with minor supplies that might be needed by a large group which was a huge plus. I would stay here again without hesitation, and my even schedule a trip back to Louisville just because of the great accommodations!

  • The whole experience was wonderful. The home was exactly as its title suggests, a home away from home. It was very warm, inviting, and comfortable. Our Host, Rebecca would promptly respond to any inquiry as well as provided support for local activities. I would definitely recommend this home to any one traveling to Louisville and can only hope the house is available for my next trips as well.
    thanks!

  • Rebecca's home was so beautiful, clean, and organized! As a large group of eight students, we were especially grateful for Rebecca's trust and quick communication as we navigated a new town.
Everyone enjoyed the space immensely. We loved using the kitchen to prepare meals (saving us tons of money). We figured out the bus system and were able to travel back and forth to downtown with ease. (We also walked back and forth a few times, enjoying the beautiful city, good exercise, and funky architecture that is downtown Louisville).
Rebecca was always a text or phone call away, happy to recommend to us local dinner options that best fit our interests. We had more independence and flexibility than if we had stayed at hotel, but rested easy in the knowledge that help and instructions were written helpfully in the house manual.
I highly recommend this home for anyone who is interested in getting to know Louisville. In the event that a large group of us return to Louisville, we will be seeking out Rebecca's beautiful home!

  • This was the most positive AirBnB experience I've had, and that's including a gas company excavation during the stay. Rebecca is responsive and helpful, and the property is lovely and very well maintained. You really don't need to bring anything, Rebecca's thought of every amenity you'll need while you're in Louisville. The property is also very well located between NuLu and the Highlands, which makes nothing more than 2 miles away.

Thanks, Rebecca! Looking forward to our next stay.

  • Great host and great house. There was little extra things around the house that made our stay great. She offered suggestions and was available if need be. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends visiting the area. We will be back!

  • Both the house and the host are terrific. All of the rooms are decorated beautifully, with modern furnishings and soothing colors. And the house gets lots of sunlight, which adds to the ambiance. The location is excellent -- close to downtown and close to the shops, restaurants and other attractions in the Highlands area. Rebecca made the house available to us on very short notice, after a death in our family. She stayed in touch during our stay to make sure we didn't have any problems or surprises, which was much appreciated. The house was a perfect refuge for us during a difficult time, and we're already planning another stay in the spring, under better circumstances.

  • This home was just what our family needed. I was impressed with the many amenities and really appreciated the basic supplies that were provided. We look forward to using this home as a base camp during future visits to Louisville.

  • Rebecca and her home are amazing. The home was very spacious, had all of the amenities we needed, and was in very close proximity to the University of Louisville Hospital (which was our reason for being in Louisville). Rebecca was incredibly hospitable, easy to communicate with, and very understanding of - and sensitive to - our unique needs. I would absolutely recommend this home! Rebecca is truly one of a kind.

  • Rebecca is absolutely amazing! The house went beyond our expectations, it was just beautiful. She made our first trip to Louisville perfect. I will definitely stay there in a heartbeat. Peace and serenity resides in this house. I've never felt more relaxed on a vacation in my life. Rebecca is awesome!

About
Thanks for taking interest in our family and property. I am a very proud mother of two very awesome girls. I've been fortunate to work for an amazing software company, while telecommuting from home. (if you ever need a help desk software please check out HelpSpot). Working from home is not for everybody but it works for me and affords me the option to work from anywhere provided I am on the grid My other passion includes, natural foods, photography and circus/aerial arts. I have taught hoops and fire eating/spinning for the past 7 years. Additionally I train in Aerial Silks, Lyra and Competitive pole. It's a family affair. My oldest daughter also performs/ trains in aerial arts when she's not in school or playing with our youngest. My partner Chris, has been in the entertainment industry for his entire professional career.. so it works. :) Though we spend most of our time in our Nashville house, our Louisville house is home. It is where my daughter took her first steps, where we've entertained many family and friends, and where we go to rejuvenate. That said, it's sad to let it sit empty the majority of the time, so we've decided to open our home to guest. I love meeting new people and I love this awesome city. I hope that you find it to be as wonderfully weird as we do. If you should have questions, please feel free to ask and thank you in advance for your interest. Your choice to stay with us directly impacts my family and friends, so thank you.
