About the area:
It is a true urban oasis situated in a 80%residential 20%commercial zone. The streets in the area are mainly one-way which cuts way down on traffic flow.
The area in general is mixed culturally, racially, and socio-economically. We have many artists, in fact the Thompson Twins used to live across the street. We also have many doctors, professionals, professors, and like most cities we have a homeless population that is served by a local soup kitchen and shelter on the edge of downtown. For many urban dwellers this will be a recognizable mix of people, but for those coming from less diverse areas you may prefer to drive around rather than walk. I have lived in this neighborhood for 15 years and know that, while it can be colorful at times, it is also safe.

This is truly an urban oasis! It was the perfect welcoming home base to explore Providence, RI from. Tucked away just a short walk from so many delicious places to eat and drink (Coffee Exchange's cold brew is to die for!). Karen is a kind, interesting, and thoughtful host and she and her wonderful partner have set up a beautiful home. The peaceful yard, warm wood decor and all the amenities they provide make for a cozy place to stay. The bed is one of the best I have slept in; nothing better than a plush bed with fresh sheets. Walking into this space you can tell that it has been built by artists, warm and inviting and spotlessly clean. I cannot wait to visit again!
Karen has a beautiful home and her AirBnB space was immaculately clean and cozy. She had a great guidebook to restaurants in the neighborhood and we were so happy to be walking distance to an amazing restaurant the Grange.
This place is fantastic! Cozy and welcoming - had everything I needed and more. The bed is very comfortable. Garden is lovely. I would definitely stay here again.
The host r so nice when we arrived. Lovely tiny space made my parent and I enjoy the whole night.
Karen's space was as beautiful as it was described in the listing. The apartment was quiet and private. It was also very practical - everything to make a small visit complete - coffee, tea, and minifridge with cream, good speakers, incredibly comfortable bed, cozy chair, good lighting, interesting book collection. I did not actually get a chance to meet her, but she responded to emails very quickly. There is a great bathroom with a clawfoot tub. And the apartment was so clean! I hope to get a chance to go back there again!
Karen has an amazing attic with everything. I like the Bose very much! My parents love their pillows and want to get themselves some! They like the experience of staying at Karen's home and they like providence a lot!
Karen was a great host and graciously accommodated a late check-in. The loft is spacious, very clean, with lots of design details and creature comforts. Best parts: puffy bed, convenient coffee, big desk for working, claw-footed tub, lovely garden area. Wanted to cry of happiness while lazing about on a big hammock between two dogwoods drifting soft petals onto my sleepy eyes. Upbeat part of Providence, Olga's 5-minute drive away for breakfast. Heavenly!
