A short walk from the cabin will lead you down to the lake, where you can enjoy peaceful surroundings, nature, and time by the water.

From the driveway, take a right, then an immediate next right and follow the path down.
Please note: the path is not clearly marked, so we recommend heading down during daylight your first time.

Walnut Mountain is a gated community. The best access to the property is through gate 2, which GPS navigation should take you directly to. An access code for the gate will be provided 48 hrs prior to check in. Once at the property, there will be a gate key for you to use for the duration of your stay.
The property provides parking space for 5-6 vehicles. Please note that there is level parking for 2 vehicles in the main section of the driveway. The lower portion of the driveway has room for an additional 3-4 vehicles, but due to the steeper grade of this section of driveway it is recommended that this area be reserved for 4-wheel drive vehicles in case of slick weather conditions.
Other things to note
Guests also have access to all the community amenities. These include an outdoor community swimming pool (open Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend), playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and a picnic area. Bring your canoe, kayak, and/or fishing poles to take advantage of the 4 private lakes in the community that are home to bass, catfish, and brim! The largest of these lakes is only 200 yards from the cabin! Last, but not least, enjoy a nature walk on one of the many hiking trails, including a waterfall hike.
