The ambience was magical! The gardens were well groomed and kept healthy! The location was a few mins from the town and beach. But it's easy to use the transport provided by Airbnb. Lots of jungle noises so be prepared with ear plugs if you're not a morning person. Or just enjoy the nature sounds! There's barely enough wifi so don't rely on that if that's important to you. The bed was comfortable. It's a cold shower but refreshing. The food is delicious! They have solar outlets so it might not work or you have to wait til evening. But I never had an issue. Booking island tours were easy but if you want to go to coron, book in advance for the 4 hour tour not the 8 hour tour! Have cash ready at check out to pay for the tours and food! Enjoy the beautiful Cottages, relaxing hammock and the view from the mountain top! The hosts were super sweet! Love the board games, ping pong and pool table. The massage beds were wonderful! Highly recommend!!!

This place was beautiful. It is a bit secluded from town, but if you're like me, I think that was a big part of its charm. I was very sick one night and the staff couldn't have been sweeter. They gave me medicine, made me oatmeal and reminded me that there really are amazing people in the world. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

This place is really quaint. The grounds have to be some of the most beautiful I've seen. You have running water a comfy bed and quiet surroundings and an accommodating staff, for a price you cannot beat. A warning though, that this is very much an eco-lodge. And I say that to warn those that are even slightly afraid of bugs, you should not stay here. It's very much 'one' with nature and not completely sealed off to all outside critters. So you will see Gekos (and occasionally their poop) spiders, and mosquitos. They do provide a very sturdy mosquito net that works well for sleeping at night. The room does have a fan, but it runs off of a generator, therefore only works between 7pm-midnight. At times a bit longer. We were there in Dec, so the nights were cool enough, but if two of you are sharing the bed it could get a bit warm. Breakfast is modest but they do a good job with service and have tea and coffee and water available throughout the day. The main dining area is cool at night and each table had a deck of cards which we loved. It is about 10 min or so outside the center of El nido but in the morning they will drop you to town on there way in, and coming back is only 200 php. I would stay there again, but i Would pack my stuff in plastic, because when it rains the place feels damp. But all in all it's 3.5-4 stars depending on what your criteria are. The grounds alone deserve 5 stars. They really keep it groomed.

My wife and I stayed for one night in one of Joy's cottages. Joy was an excellent host and such a delight. She gave us a free ride to the El Nido airport which was a nice surprise. The cottages were nice and accurate to the photos. My only hesitancy to stay again would be that it's further from town than I was expecting and we had a hard time sleeping with one of their neighbors blasting drum and bass music all night and then the multitude of roosters that crow in the morning. We also found the lack of AC uncomfortable but we were aware before we booked it that it wouldn't be provided. All in all if you are aware of the short comings and they don't bother you then I would definitely recommend this place mainly so you can experience Joy's excellent hosting and friendly personality.
