The Cosmopolitan is the ultimate in downtown accommodations, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a balcony looking over the Austin Convention Center and lots of space for entertaining. You simply cannot get any closer to the heart of SXSW and the best of downtown Austin.
Walk to everything including hundreds of restaurants, movie theaters, bars, nightclubs, lounges, and live music venues, the location cannot be beat. The town lake walking/jogging trail is just a few blocks away, there is a yoga studio just across the street, Starbucks is 200 feet from the front door, and arrangements can be made for a temporary gym membership two blocks away during your visit, if desired. We also provide full concierge services, so just tell us what you need and we will make it happen.
This extra large penthouse loft unit features accommodations for up to 12 guests (one California king bed, two queen beds, three twin beds, and 2 air mattresses), central air and heat, a full-sized stackable washer and dryer, a small balcony looking over the Austin Convention Center, free cable television, free wireless internet access, wood burning fireplace, and plush furnishings. With granite counter tops, renovated kitchen and bathrooms, flat screen televisions mounted on the walls, and a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen, every detail has been considered to make your stay a pleasant one.
A full kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all of the tools you need to cook your favorite meals will be included, however there are so many dining options within a few blocks, you may never use it. A wet bar comes stocked with glassware, a blender, and all of the bar tools you will need to fix your favorite cocktails while visiting. Just add liquor and mixers and you are all set. The closest liquor store is 2 blocks away.
You will also receive access to free private gated parking for one car (plus a motorcycle or scooter), if you need it. Since you can walk to everything, you might consider taking the Airport Flyer from Austin Bergstrom International for $1 per person. It picks up and drops off in front of the building every 30 minutes, and will save you the hassle and expense of a rental car or taxi.
There is also an outdoor pool area, and one of the most lively neighborhoods in ATX! If you need assistance with tours, transportation services, or anything else, we are here to help. The Airport Flyer will drop you at the door of this condo for $1, so be sure to check their schedule and save a few dollars.
There are certain dates (large events in Austin) that have minimum night restrictions. Please inquire about these dates.
Guests will have access to the condo complex, the condo, the secured parking area, the pool area, and the best of downtown Austin.
Interaction with Guests
I like to interact with my guests as much or as little as they would like. I am always available (24/7) to answer questions via email, text, or phone, and I enjoy meeting many of my guests. However, I am also very respectful, and allow my guests to determine how much interaction they would like to have. Ever since I setup automatic door locks, there are some guests that I have not ever met in person. Whatever works best for the guest, works fine for me.
I love that the downtown neighborhood is so vibrant, and provides the ability to walk to the best restaurants, bars, shopping, and nightlife in Austin. The Railyard is in a unique location that is hard to beat. I also appreciate the convenient access to Town Lake for hiking and biking trails, among other things.
In addition to the Airport Flyer that I already mentioned, there are also pedicabs, taxi cabs, light rail, horse-drawn carriages, limousines, and other forms of public transportation within a block that can be easily accessed.
Other Things to Note
If you are interested in hosting an even larger group, please note that I own and manage a large number of units in the same building complex, as well as some nearby houses. I am happy to host large groups for weddings, convention center trade shows, and other events in Austin.
This condo is managed by Onyx Hotels, which I established in 2013. The team is available to assist with all requests, and can be reached via telephone at (phone number hidden) email support, please use (email hidden)eck-in is 3pm. Check-out is 11am. These times can be flexible (when possible), but we will need to communicate in advance so we can plan accordingly.
All guests must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the condominium complex pertaining to noise, trash, and smoking violations, etc. Any fines incurred will be the responsibility of the tenant. Be advised that noise violations start at $250 per occurrence. These fines can be assessed by the HOA without warning, however, we have never heard of a warning not being issued by a neighbor in advance. If somebody asks you to keep it down, please immediately accommodate them. If a fine is assessed, it will be deducted from your security deposit.
Please do not smoke or leave trash outside of the unit in the common areas. Please do not smoke in the unit or an additional cleaning fee will be charged. If you choose to use the alarm system, please be aware that any false alarms that are created (sending for police and the fire department), will be a assessed per occurrence.
Before you leave, please help the housekeeper prepare for the next guests by completing the following:
•Please take all trash out to the dumpster, located in the middle of the parking garage.
•Please load all dishes into the dishwasher and run it on the normal cycle.
•Please turn the AC up to 78º F.
•Please close all windows and place the parking clicker on the counter.
•Place lock and secure all doors.

Perfect for a group of 8 for a bachelor party. As described. Centrally located, two blocks from 6th street, could easily walk there. Accessible to all areas. Place was clean and had everything that we needed. Highly recommended for groups as it is convenient. No issues at all.

I rented 5 apartments from Ryan on Air BnB for a weekend in Austin (getting my MBA at UChicago and we only travel in packs); the Speakeasy, Retro Chic, Argyle, Grant Austin, and the Cosmopolitan. The apartments are well furnished and well kept.
Ryan and his property manager (Thomas) are extremely accessible and helpful. All of my questions were quickly answered and it was nice that they checked in with us during the weekend, and were extremely flexible on the check in / check out times.
The only thing (and this is CLEARLY written in the apartment descriptions, so its just something I should have thought about more carefully) is that it sometimes does really stink to sleep on air mattresses, so if you can at all, I'd highly recommend you only bring enough people that there are beds for.

The Cosmo at the Convention center was a great place stay! We had 12 people stay here for a weekend, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location was excellent, and Ryan and Thomas were especially helpful with accommodating an early check-in and late check-out. I would highly recommend staying here for someone looking to host a big group of people!
Ryan was an amazing host. He provided a very detailed introductory letter detailing all activities, neighborhoods, transportation, etc. that helped get our group set up in Austin. We rented two units (side by side) and both units exceeded everyone's expectations! They were decorated beautifully and were more spacious than expected from the pictures. There was also a full linen closet and toiletries were stocked. At one point during the weekend, we had a maintenance request. I called the host and within 30 minutes we had someone at our door fixing the issue. I would highly recommend both units. The location was great - if you couldn't walk to where you needed to get an uber was always within a minute or two and was a very cheap mode of transport for the weekend. The units were beautiful. And the host was courteous and responsive.
The place is great for a large group. We fit 12 adult men without issue. Ryan had three air mattresses, linens and an air pump ready to accommodate our large group. The location is perfect to walk around Austin and enjoy daytime activities and the night life. If I did the same trip again I would book this same unit in a heartbeat. Also the keypad access instead of keys made it easy to access for all individuals in our group. Ryan and his business partner were responsive to texts/calls over the weekend. The place was great for our group, nothing else needs to be said.
