The Space

Situated one block from the Austin Convention Center (with a balcony view of the facility), two blocks from the world famous 6th Street and the Warehouse District, and a handful of blocks from every other downtown attraction including hundreds of restaurants, movie theaters, bars, nightclubs, lounges, and live music venues, the location is hard to beat. During events, these units are coveted by everybody in the city, including locals. The town lake walking/jogging trail is just a few blocks away, there is a yoga studio just across the street, Starbucks is 200 feet from the front door, and arrangements can be made for a temporary gym membership two blocks away during your visit, if desired.

This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit features accommodations for up to 10 guests (four queen beds and a queen-sized air mattress), central air and heat, a full sized stackable washer and dryer, a small balcony, free cable television, free wireless internet access, wood burning fireplace, and plush furnishings. With upgraded counter tops, renovated kitchen and bathrooms, flat screen televisions mounted on the walls, and a fantastic stereo in the living room, every detail has been considered to make your stay a pleasant one.

A few nearby options include: Fleming's Steakhouse, Fogo de Chao, Piranha Sushi, Vince Young Steakhouse, Backspace, PF Changs, 200 Congress, La Condessa, Lamberts, Swift's Attic, Champions Sports Bar, Parkside, Eddie V's, The Onion, Swift's Attic, La Condessa, Trace, Lambert's, and many more...

A wet bar comes stocked with glassware, a blender, and all of the bar tools you will need to fix your favorite cocktails while visiting. Just add liquor and mixers and you are all set. The closest liquor store is 2 blocks away.

You will also receive access to free private gated parking for one car (plus a motorcycle or scooter), if you need it. You will also receive access to free private gated parking for one car (plus a motorcycle or scooter), if you need it. Since you can walk to everything, you might consider taking the Airport Flyer from Austin Bergstrom International for $1 per person. It picks up and drops off in front of the building every 30 minutes, and will save you the hassle and expense of a rental car or taxi.

There is also an outdoor pool area, and one of the most lively neighborhoods in ATX! If you need assistance with tours, transportation services, or anything else, we are here to help.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the condo complex, the condo, the secured parking area, the pool area, and the best of downtown Austin.

Interaction with Guests

I like to interact with my guests as much or as little as they would like. I am always available (24/7) to answer questions via email, text, or phone, and I enjoy meeting many of my guests. However, I am also very respectful, and allow my guests to determine how much interaction they would like to have. Ever since I setup automatic door locks, there are some guests that I have not ever met in person. Whatever works best for the guest, works fine for me.

The Neighborhood

I love that the downtown neighborhood is so vibrant, and provides the ability to walk to the best restaurants, bars, shopping, and nightlife in Austin. The Railyard is in a unique location that is hard to beat. I also appreciate the convenient access to Town Lake for hiking and biking trails, among other things.

Getting around

In addition to the Airport Flyer that I already mentioned, there are also pedicabs, taxi cabs, light rail, horse-drawn carriages, limousines, and other forms of public transportation within a block that can be easily accessed.

Other Things to Note

If you are interested in hosting an even larger group, please note that I own and manage a large number of units in the same building complex, as well as some nearby houses. I am happy to host large groups for weddings, convention center trade shows, and other events in Austin.

  • Our stay at the Grand Loft in downtown Austin was fantastic. We chose it because of it has four queen beds and its incredible location. You can sleep many guests and you can walk everywhere you would want to go in downtown. I highly recommend the property.
Ryan operates a first rate place on Airbnb. Incredibly responsive and helpful. Added Bonus is both a Keurig machine and regular coffee pot in the apartment. We weren't short on coffee in the morning.
    I highly recommend this property.

Thanks, George. I am glad you had such a nice time in Austin, and I appreciate your kind words. Please come back and visit again soon.

  • Traveled to Austin with 3 co-workers and stayed in the Grand Loft for 3 nights. Everything was cleaned and well-furnished. When the Complex's internet went down Ryan came by with a hot spot for us to use.

Great location and an overall good experience.

  • I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience both with Ryan and with his amazing apartment in downtown Austin. From the moment we booked, Ryan was communicative, helpful and nice. When we arrived to Austin, he gave us all the instruction we needed to get in, and once we stepped inside, we were blown away. The 2-story loft is beautiful! And on top of that, he left us a basket of goodies to welcome us to Austin. Ryan stopped by to introduce himself soon after we arrived and asked if we needed anything. He was available to us the entire duration of our stay and he called me upon checking out to make sure we had a nice stay. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Ryan's place, you won't be disappointed!

    Rachel,
You are too kind, and a delightful house guest on top of that. Thank you so much for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed SXSW this year, and I hope to see you again next year as well. Please feel free to reach out any time.
    Best,
    Ryan

  • Ryan was great to work with. He was very prompt to all questions we had and allowed us to get into the condo earlier than check-in. The condo is very nice and the pictures accurately depict it. The only flaws was that the internet only worked sporadically and the condo was dark at night since there are not many lights. In the morning we also ran out of warm water, but we did have 8 girls so that is to be expected. One thing to keep in mind is that the stairs are extremely steep and someone with a fear of heights might not like them. Overall a great experience and highly suggest.

Thanks, Eric. Next time you come back, I can promise better weather for golf. The weekend you were here is the coldest one I can remember since moving here in 1994. You always have a place to stay when you in Austin. Don't be a stranger.

  • I had a great experience staying here with friends! Super convenient, really close in, nicely appointed. Ryan was super accommodating and very available. The loft is lovely and we had a fabulous time!

  • Had a great weekend in Austin! George Strait Concert along with Esther's Follies ~~ The Grand Loft was a perfect location. Thanks so much Ryan for the hospitality with parking and information. Taxis were right across the street when needed and we were only 2 blocks from 6th street. We will be back!

  • Perfect location for a girl's roadtrip to Austin. The complex felt safe and secure and was very near restaurants, great shopping, nightlife and Towne Lake. The Grand Loft was more than large enough to comfortably accommodate the 6 ladies with us. Beds were very comfortable and the sheets were so super soft! Decor was fun and fresh, enhancing the mood of the weekend. Check-In was a breeze and Ryan was responsive to our needs.
We could not have asked for more and highly recommend Ryan and his Grand Loft for groups visiting Austin.

About
I have been in Austin since 1994. As much as I love the city, I also enjoy traveling and photographing vacation destinations and tourist attractions around the world. As a registered travel agent, I am able to work while I enjoy tours and activities in places like the London, Paris, Rome, New York, San Francisco, and Hawaii, to name a few. I have always wanted to own/operate a hotel. That has been a passion of mine since I was a child. For that reason, I enjoy having guests staying in my rental properties, and I want to provide so much more than just a place to stay. My goal is to create a memorable experience for my guests. I want my guests to know that not only does Austin deliver a good time, but that this home away from home is waiting for you. With my connections in the travel industry, and tenure in the city, I strive to provide a level of service you will not find with other rental managers. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. I enjoy talking about Austin and the property, so I welcome you to communicate with me. I am here to help, and your good time is my priority.
