Stylish, Airy Mile End/Plateau Gem

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rue Jeanne-Mance, Montreal, QC H2V 2R1, Canada

The Space

This bright, fresh, well-appointed floor-through condo is on the second floor of a classic Montreal greystone triplex on the southern edge of Mile End. It is located just steps away from Parc Mont-Royal/Parc Jeanne Mance, yet it is remarkably quiet and peaceful.

The building has been recently gutted and renovated, so it feels spacious, modern and bright, but retains the character of the historic neighbourhood. Not a cookie-cutter place.

Calm colours, natural wood, plants, exposed brick wall in the living room.

Open concept dining-kitchen, fully equipped.

Two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, one with double doors opening onto a balcony overlooking a magnolia tree, perfect for breakfast or an evening glass of wine. A second balcony faces one of the neighbourhood's loveliest tree-lined streets.

Very large bathroom with oversize tub, separate shower.

Amenities: Wifi, washer/dryer, dishwasher, air conditioning. No TV, though.

The location really can't be beat. You are so close to all the best of what Montreal has to offer: (website hidden)-Laurent, Av. Mont Royal, Parc Ave, Jeanne Mance park, all the best cafes and restaurants including the outstanding Le Filet, Buvette Chez Simone, Casa del Popolo. Easy transport (quick bike ride, or 10 minute straight shot on the 80 bus) to the Quartier des spectacles, Jazz Fest, Downtown.

  • Alana's apartment was the perfect oasis in Montreal. Spacious, warm and well located near the park, public transit, food shopping and a great little cafe right around the corner. We will definitely stay here again.

  • Our stay at Alana's place was nothing short of perfect. Her flat was super comfortable and cozy. It felt very much like home, and it took everything in me to not try and move in! My husband and I traveled with his sister and her husband, and it was the perfect size for us. The balcony area was a nice added feature to have a mid-day snack, or read, get some fresh air, etc. The location is AWESOME. It is very close to the bus and it is easy to walk to Mont Royal shops, or over to Rue St. Laurent or St. Denis where there are tons of restaurants, cafes and shops. Alana was very friendly and easy to communicate with also. Would definitely recommend her place to friends!

  • (Not much time to write this but...) Very nice apartment, would stay there again. Spacious, well-equipped, stylishly appointed, clean. Great location. Alana was exceptionally helpful when we had internet challenges, it was a one-time hardware failure and we were up again in less than a day. Appliances and air conditioning work well. Highly recommended.

  • Great apartment in a great location and Alana is a very friendly helpful owner. (The kitchen and dining area plus the bathroom are worthy of special mentions). The apartment had everything we needed for our short stay and it truly felt like a home-away-from-home.
Its in an ideal location for visiting McGill parents (our reason) and wonderful for all the Plateau and Montreal has to offer
    We will go back!!!

  • Everything was great. It's a lovely, bright, beautiful home.
It was a great vacation and coming home to her place was so relaxing. I especially loved having morning coffee on the porch in the back, while my family was still sleeping! We fantasized about living here (in this apartment) in Montreal each day.

Alana was very quick address any questions and also give us great tips of what to see and where to go.

We hope to come back again one day to see more of Montreal since we just could not do it all. There is so much to do! And this spot makes seeing everything so easy. Metro nearby, lots of restaurants, close to park...

You'd be so lucky to stay here!

  • What better way to enjoy Montreal than to live in the quaint townhouse as best as one could get on Rue Jeanne Mance! Alana is a great host. We were well informed of the good restaurants in the area. The house is clean, kitchen well equipped, living area cosy with a personal touch. Public transport is easily accessible to go downtown and to go to Mont Royal, the famous local mountain for city view and walks. The immediate neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Would recommend.

  • This place was amazing. Just what the doctor ordered. My friend, who lives in Montreal and whom I was visiting for a wedding picked me up from the airport and said the address was a lovely area of town. When she saw the apartment she was so jealous and wished she lived there. Lovely homely feel and a quiet relaxing balcony for sitting and drinking coffee. Comfy sofas and lovely airy rooms. Bathroom was perfect for a soak. Kitchen had everything and social with the eating area in this open plan area. Nice neighbourhood. Right opposite Jeanne Mance Park and right on the bus route most other places. The metro was easily accessible 15 minute walk away and Mont Royal park up the hill in the opposite direction. Totally quiet and peaceful considering the busy shopping street at the end of the road. Just a dream.
