Our stay at Kime's was excellent! It was the perfect place to stay after hanging out at Pappy and Harriet's and I would definitely make it the place to stay when in town! Loved everything in the apartment from the furniture to the great artwork on the walls. Kime was super nice and we had such a great time chatting in the store. By the way, The End is such a well-curated store and definitely a must stop if you love beautiful things, vintage items, and happy colors. Thank you for making our first visit to Yucca Valley a great experience!
I would definitely recommend staying here if your looking for a private and cozy place to stay. Walking distance to lots of things. I would stay here again!
I had a great stay in Kime's cute little house. It was clean and cozy. The location was perfect for a short walk to antique stores and MaRouge coffee shop (which was fantastic). It was my first visit to Yucca Valley and we enjoyed it very much!
Lovely place in Yucca valley. Brief but nice stay at the writers retreat.
What an amazing little place. We were in town for a wedding in Joshua Tree and could not have been happier with the space or location. Bed was super comfortable, great water pressure, excellent decor and perfect kitchen. Kime was available for us if we needed her. I will definitely be staying here the next time I return to the area! Thank you Kime!
We really enjoyed staying at Kime's place. The location is great, close to a nice cafe and interesting shops, and we made it up to Pappy & Harriet's as recommended for an enjoyable evening of live music (and of course, only a short drive from the national park!)
The apartment itself is cute and comfortable- we were a bit worried when we first saw the bed as it was reasonably small (my husband is 6 foot and I am 6 months pregnant!), but we actually had a great night's sleep.
We didn't see a lot of Kime, but she communicated well and was really flexible about arrival and check out times. What more can you want?
Kime and her husband Justin are lovely, friendly and helpful hosts!
When we arrived, the colorful, cozy and cool interior was so welcoming we immediately felt like we had arrived at our desert home. Kime's shop is a dangerously close and well-curated distraction for two city girls who already aim to go vintage shopping.
It was great to be able to wake up in the morning and stroll down the block to Ma Rouge for coffee. The cottage is an easy roll up either 29 Palms to Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley nighttime hangs or daytime conveniences, to the Integratron, and easy access to Pappy & Harriet's. We weren't headed to the park this trip but it would have been a great home base for hiking and exploring as well, and a restful place to come back to.
The kitchen and ample table surface space helped facilitate the creative work we were inspired to do when staying there too.
It is great to know that this little gem exists and I will probably be looking to stay here again in the future. Thanks so much Kime!

HELLO! I am an artist & Costume designer living in the desert with my husband Justin and our pets. I also own an eclectic Vintage shop here in Yucca Valley called THE END. I love exploring the world for hidden treasures & meeting creative/interesting new people.
My life motto is "LET GO"
