The space
In the spring and summer, enjoy the soothing sounds of the water rushing by on each side of the home through two canals! Lounge on the shaded deck, patio, or swing as you dine on a meal al fresco or enjoy the quiet morning hours with a fresh cup of coffee. The cozy outdoor firepit overlooking the canal is the perfect spot for casual conversation and toasty treats under the stars as you sip on a refreshing cocktail and swap stories from the day’s adventures. The park just adjacent to the home offers a play area for the littles in your group, a spacious grassy field where your furry friends can stretch their paws, and a walking trail for leisurely afternoon strolls. Feeling hungry? There multiple dining options and breweries within just a short walk!
When you’re ready to see more of what Bend has to offer, you’ll be within just 10 minutes to downtown and the Old Mill District, featuring plentiful options for shopping and dining along the river. This area doesn’t just come alive in the winter months, however. Widgi Creek Golf Course is 20 minutes away offering challenging fairways for all skill levels surrounded by vibrant scenery, as well, there are 25 golf courses in or near Bend. 17 public, 7 private and 1 municipal course(s).
There’s no disappointment come fall and winter. As the season changes, the colors come rushing in, followed by a white winter. The Mount Bachelor Ski Resort is a short 35-minute drive away, the largest ski resort in Oregon and a sought-after destination from snow enthusiasts from all over. The Wanoga Sno-Park is 30 minutes from the home, offering miles of ski, snowshoe, and walking trails.
The inside of the home is just as action-packed as the outdoors, curated with desirable amenities that offer the perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. Soaring vaulted ceilings sit atop open spaces filled with an abundance of natural light and furnished with contemporary elements. The living room offers plush sofa and armchair seating, floor-to-ceiling windows, a smart TV, and even a vinyl record player for putting on some tunes while you prep dinner. The fully equipped kitchen showcases stainless steel appliances, glossy countertops, and ample cabinetry stocked with cookware and dining ware for the convenience of preparing meals at home. Dine together at the formal table with seating for up to 10 or grab a high-stop stool for 4 at the counter for more quick and casual bites. But we’re not done yet! Bend, Oregon is famous for its outdoor activities and beautiful scenery. You can enjoy art, dining at an award-winning restaurant, spa treatments, or take part in the Bend Ale Trail, which is the largest beer trail in the West. Bend is also great for family-friendly activities. In summer, go tubing through River Bend Park on the Deschutes River or do some world-class rock climbing at Smith Rocks State Park. West of Bend go boating on Cascade Lakes or hike the peaks of the Cascade Mountains. Year around, hike up Pilot Butte, an extinct volcano. A little to the south, the High Desert Museum showcases the local environment, with history and live wildlife exhibits. In the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, stairs lead into the Lava River Cave, a huge lava tube. Of course, In winter, don’t forget Mt. Bachelor, or The Hoodoo Ski Area near Sisters.
