Come crash after a long day of enjoying Memphis in my centrally-located historic home in Annesdale Park, which straddles Downtown, Midtown and all the major expressways! There are four bedrooms to choose from with hardwood floors, two clawfoot tubs, a large kitchen to cook in and ample parking outside. I'll even bake you some scones with jam in the morning, because we do it up *right.* And the premises are 100%, certified ghost-free, guaranteed.
This home away from home is located just blocks from Memphis' famous old-timey trolley headed straight for Beale Street and about 15 minutes from Graceland. And we give rides to visitors to and from the train station or airport, in exchange for your funniest joke or travel story!
This listing is for your very own Beige Room - it's beige, it's a lovely, comfy room, and it could be all your own by just sending me a quick hello! ^_^
Jamie wasn't available for our stay, but she had a capable proxy greet us and show us around the house. Nevertheless, she regularly checked on us via AirBnB message.
The house was in a charming neighborhood, convenient for short trips to the Gonerfest locations. Our room faced the very quiet street and was right next to the shared bathroom. Everything was clean, if a bit aged, but it added to the charm. There were helpful notes throughout the house, which made finding dishes and snacks easy.
Thanks for a lovely, comfortable stay.
Jamie's place is a great place to stay in Memphis.Ran like an informal hostel there is always people coming and going and although the building's furnishings are quite old it is a unique experience and good value for money. It's in a great location (at most a ten minute taxi from any place of interest). I wouldn't recommend walking anywhere outside of the beale street area in memphis at night! Jamie was away when we stayed but Dallas was very helpful.
I really enjoyed my stay at Jamie's unhaunted B&B. She was very accommodating to my late arrival time, left out breakfast nibbles and even sent me away with a bag of yummy snack mix. The neighborhood seemed safe and was pretty quiet. The house is old and looks like Jamie is doing some renovating, but overall it was fairly clean and comfortable. I would recommend staying here if you would rather spend your money on something fun rather than on an overpriced Memphis hotel!
Had a great stay at Jamie's. Her house is really nice and in a perfect spot. Recommended to all!
Jamie was very nice and a great hostess. The shower was good and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was good. The bedrooms had a little to be desired. I would look around a little more before I stayed there again.
Everything everyone said about Jamie already is true. Staying here you'll wake up to Jamie slaving away in the kitchen fixing breakfast. The house is just lovely, it was great relaxing on the front porch.
Would book again in a heartbeat,
Jamie's rambling house is in a most charming historic district of Memphis.
We enjoyed our stay there and met several interesting people who were passing through as there two other rooms with guests in addition to ours.
The overall atmosphere is post college bohemian, which I enjoyed for the most part, but I think the bed we shared could use an upgrade, especially for a multi-night stay.
There is a large communal kitchen and shared seating/living area and Jamie lives up to her promises regarding fresh home baked goodies.
She is very warm and sympathetic and gave us the very good advice (that we were unable to take) that the Lorraine Motel, where MLK jr. was murdered, and which is now a memorial, was open to the public for a brief time as it is undergoing renovations.
Jamie is awesome! She made us feel like home. We loved all the little notes and surprises. Nice cute home. The breakfast was wonderful.
Jamie is the best host ever, no doubt about it. My first experience with Air BnB could not have been more perfect, thanks to her hospitality and adorable dog, Tank!
The house is in a great location, easily accessible to public transport and Graceland is about a 20 minute bus ride away. Jamie, the angel she is even picked me up when I arrived in Memphis at 10pm.
The room was perfect, comfy bed, awesome decor and styling (who doesn't love fairy lights and books) - just a great chilled vibe all round. Fresh linen and towels, even a little chocolate on my pillow.
And better yet, after sitting on a Greyhound for 15+ hours, there were cold beers in the fridge!! Woke up to fresh coffee, delicious homemade scones, oatmeal and watermelon slices and Jamie had even left me a snack to take on my adventures.
This lady is an absolute angel, a great member of the Air BnB community and I 100% recommend you stay with her if you're ever in Memphis!! Oh, and someone high five Tank for me.
Jaime was so delightful and welcoming, her house has great character and she pays such attention to detail, from mints for our pillows to readily available maps for the area. We had a wonderful breakfast with her and another airbnber over her delicious egg souffle. It was just fantastic. My daughter delighted in playing with her sweet dog.
