Welcome to Atlanta! You are going to love your stay at my sunny, cheerful bungalow in a superb location.
The first floor is approximately 1000 square feet, with two bedrooms and one bathroom, and an open concept kitchen, dining, and living room. The house has beautiful natural light, hardwood floors, and slate tile throughout! The kitchen has granite countertops, stove/ oven, dishwasher, microwave, and a platinum finish refrigerator, and all the basic cooking supplies. Fresh coffee and creamer and coffee maker provided! The home has fast Wifi internet, streaming netflix, blueray and DVD player, and a 40" flatscreen tv. Every bedroom closet has room for you to unpack and get comfortable, and there is a washer/dryer as well.
The second floor is a real treat! About 800 square feet of spacious master bedroom and en suite bathroom, with a separate jacuzzi tub and standing shower. There is even a quiet porch accessible by french doors off the master, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful neighborhood and a view of the backyard. The backyard has a dining area for 5, and lounge seating for 4, with a grill and beautiful fencing throughout. A special treat in the springtime is to sit out there with your coffee in the morning, where you can see a dozen different kinds of birds and smell the jasmine and roses!
Old Fourth Ward is a historic neighborhood rich in history and diversity, with a vibrant present; it is rapidly becoming the 'it' neighborhood for young families and professionals.
* If you want history, my home is ~.5 mile from Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the Martin Luther King Museum-- all a must-see in Atlanta!

* If you want nature, you can just walk 1 block to the Beltline (and 2.5 blocks to Freedom Parkway trail), multi-use green space with miles of biking and walking trails, which connects many parks and neighborhoods, and .75 miles from the new Fourth Ward Historic Park.
* If you want night life, you are just 2.5 blocks from Highland Bakery, Zuma Sushi, Across the Street Mexican Restaurant, P'Cheen, and Jack's Wings and Pizza, and about 1/2 mile from trendy bars and restaurants on Edgewood, and Inman Park restaurants and shopping.
* And if you want to stay in and cook, Whole Foods, Kroger, and Publix are all under 1 mile away.
I can accommodate anyone from singles to groups of 6.
I also offer single room rental, on a separate listing.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Old Fourth Ward is, in real estate terms, 'hot, hot hot'! It is central to all the neighborhoods in Atlanta, right next to all the major sporting and conference events, and incredible walkable to restaurants, bars, green space, and the Beltline. You couldn't get a better location for all your needs in Atlanta!
There is a Marta station 1.2 miles from the house (King Memorial Station), a bus stop two houses away. The easiest and cheapest way to move around is through Uber, where a car is never more than 1-2 minutes from the house. There is also a parking pad off the street for your car.
Hi there! House rules are pretty simple!
Rule number one: All visitors or guests to the home must be booked as members of the party. No one is allowed on the property- even to visit- without prior approval.
Check-in: Give me a call or communicate via airbnb in advance of your visit to communicate check-in time. I will leave a key in the LOCKBOX on the front porch. The code is 4627. Once you line up the numbers, pull the silver tab down and out. Once you enter the house, there will be keys on the table to use during your stay. Please put the key back in the lockbox and swirl the numbers.
Check-out: I like to meet my guests for check-out, but if that's not possible, just leave the keys on the dining room table, and make sure the original key is in the lockbox. Thanks!
Parking: There is a parking pad on the right side of the home for one car. You can also park on McGruder Street, as well as on Randolph St, both across the street from my house. Please observe the parking signs.
Thermostat: It is on a program that works for most people. Feel free to turn the temp up or down at your leisure. But please be considerate!
Cleaning: I charge a small cleaning fee, just for deep cleaning (I do the rest). Because the fee is small, I just ask that my guests put their trash in the bins, dishes in the dishwasher, and sheets in the laundry room.
Kitchen: Help yourself to anything in kitchen! Including any food or beverages, condiments, coffee, creamer, cooking oil, etc.
Bathrooms: I set out fresh towels in each bedroom for the guests. Additional towels and linens are in the linen closet on the first floor. Extra toilet paper and paper towels are in the laundry room. Most guests bring their own shampoo/ conditioner, but you can also use the toiletries in the showers.
Security: Make sure to lock up the house when you leave (doors and windows). Sometimes guests forget to lock the back door, so double-check! I've never had a security incident of any kind.
Noise: I love for guests to enjoy my back patio. However, I do not allow outside parties after midnight. I have a neighbor with a newborn, and I need to be respectful.
That's it! I hope you have a terrific stay.
This house is beautiful. Fabulous location in walking distance to great food, Beltline, bars, Krog street market, etc. Very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The Internet was not working when we arrived and Alexandra was out of the country, but her neighbor took care of things and was very responsive. A great stay at a lovely place!
Alex was a great host and we loved the place the house! It looked exactly like it did in the photographs and was in a great location close to the greenbelt, downtown, parks, and restaurants. Alex was so friendly and very accommodating, even buying us a bottle of wine to welcome us to Atlanta. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
We met Alexandra when we arrived. She was extreamly welcoming and very informative about places to go and things to do in the neighborhood. We loved the area. Lots of fun restaurants and shops. Downtown was only a few minutes away by car and a nice walk when the weather was nice. Alexandra's house is fantastic. 2 bedrooms downstairs and a suite upstairs. The upstairs bedroom is the size of the entire house with a fantastic bathroom. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again.
Fantastic place to stay in a great location! I absolutely fell in love with the house. It's exactly as pictured. The outdoor space is beautiful. We walked to breakfast and we went to "across the street". There's some shops in the area. We ubered everywhere and it was mostly $7-10 wherever we went. It was about 20 min to buckhead... Great shopping! Next time I come to Atlanta I am definitely staying here again!!!! Thank you so much Alexandra for letting us stay in your home :)
We rented the house for 3 nights. All we did was sleep here but no issues whatsoever. Everything was clean and tidy. Great location. We never felt unsafe. It’s an easy walk to Inman Park, the Belt Line, and a short cab ride downtown. There are tons of great restaurants nearby. I would recommend her house to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Atlanta!
This was our second stay at Alexandra's home while we attended the Mart. We love it since it takes very little time to get downtown and there are numerous restaurants nearby. If there is any problem Alexandra and Caroline are just a phone call away and are always very sweet and helpful. Highly recommended!
We just stayed at Alex's lovely home for five days while in town for business. It was clean, light and spacious and offered all the comforts of home. The beds were all comfy and linens soft. We weren't able to use the back porch and balcony as it it was unseasonably cold, but it looked like a great space to enjoy in warmer weather. Alex was a very attentive host who was great to offer suggestions for dining, shopping and transportation. We liked the neighborhood and nearby restaurants. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Thanks Alex!

Hello! I am a professional in global health, and have lived in Atlanta for five years. I love in-town Atlanta, with its eclectic restaurants, coffee shops, art shows, and range of parks and green spaces all nearby. I am friendly, mature, and responsible- I take excellent care of home and my airbnb guests! I love meeting new visitors, and helping them find all the nearby eateries and entertainment. I've put a lot of work into the home to make it feel like a treat to stay in-- I hope you'll agree! I also hope you'll care for my home when you stay, so that future airbnbers can continue to enjoy it for some time to come.
