Casa Christina is an authentic experience of real Mexico, San Miguel de Allende style. Set in the quiet district of San Antonio, it is only 2 blocks from the world famous Instituto which offers a wide range of Spanish and art classes. The Jardin at the center of town, is an easy 15 minute walk.

Stepping into Casa Christina’s walled-courtyard with its pre-Columbian sculptures in the fountain, immediately sets the relaxed pace of your visit. The spacious 3200 square foot house sits on a large lot and is furnished with antiques and the beautiful art collection of Robert Somerlot, a well known author who lived in San Miguel for 35 years. The living room is graced with 18th century carved chapel doors from a historical hacienda in the local area.

MAID & GARDEN SERVICE are included five days a week. We now have a breakfast option. Maria will prepare and serve breakfast for up to 4 people for $25 a week and for 5 to 8 people for $35 a week extra. You provide the groceries. She can also cook dinners for 200 pesos (she can shop for the food if you give her the pesos) or 300 pesos if she stays and serves the meal. The fountain courtyard or lower garden are ideal for outdoor meals.

The second story terrace is shared by the 2 upstairs bedrooms and has a view of the countryside. The rooftop garden with its incredible close-up view of San Antonio Church, is a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset, practice yoga or relax in a lounge chair with a good book.

Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own attached bath. The Master Suite and Lower Bedroom Suite have King-sized beds and a twin bed in thier sitting rooms. The third Bedroom has a Queen-sized bed. The Lower Bedroom Suite has a separate entrance and kitchenette.

While Casa Christina has thick cement walls the house is located in a city and we can not be responsible for noise in the neighborhood.

We had a superb time using the home, came with my three young adult kids (25 & 28 year old twins) and everyone had a their own private terrace for reading or ing or whatever. The curtains in the room were nice to create privacy as well. Maria is a FANTASTIC cook, we hired her to make dinner for our last night and it was absolutely excellent.

This is an amazingly beautiful house. The art and atmosphere are great, and watching the sun set over San Miguel from the rooftop terrace is beautiful.

This is the second time we stay at casa Christina. My family and I loved it so much. It is very spacious and fun house to stay in. Maria is great to have around for breakfast and for anything you may need. We also got married in San Miguel and we used casa Christina as a base between our callejoneada and ceremony where Maria helped getting food prepared and organized everything for a small luncheon at the house. We did have to pay her for her services and help but it was all worth it. The house is perfectly located quick 15 minute walk to el centro which is nice to do in San Miguel. House has everything you need and if you want a nice dinner with an incredible view I recommend going to Zumo we had our wedding dinner there the owner is American and has an awesome view and menu. I recommend going here to eat around sunset it does get chilly but they have awesome heating system. Besides that casa Christina has recommendations for other places to eat but zumo is a must in my opinion. Besides that my stay was fantastic and I love staying at casa Christina I always will keep it in mind when visiting San Miguel. Neighborhood is very safe the town is safe in general. I felt so safe I kept my guard up as usual but you don't really need to worry. Enjoy your stay enjoy the roof top terrace enjoy Maria's company and cooking. Very comfortable house to stay in.

Hi Sebastian, So glad that you had a wonderful stay at Casa Christina and that Maria took such good care of you. Christina and I were just at the house where we redid the rooftop garden adding a new area with an even better view of the sunset and a 350 degree view. You were one of the first guests to enjoy this new feature of the house. Keep us in mind for another stay the next time you come to visit, or maybe on one of your anniversaries in the future. Warm Regards, Craig
