Birds, bunnies, coyotes. Big, open night skies, quiet, private, country setting. Excellent hiking and biking area. WiFi, peace, beauty and serenity included.
Eldorado area has everything one might want or need, within a 10 minutes walk from the house. Grocery store, restaurants, galleries, mail center, great cafe. Wonderful hiking close by. Biking is excellent too. Community center has a pool, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball.
You will need a car if you want to enjoy all Santa Fe has to offer. Public transportation is very sparse from here into town.
Loved the place. It was very quaint. I contemplated whether we wanted to be in town close to the plaza or not. In the end, the reviews on the sunsets sold us and we're glad it did. The place is very nice and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The drive isn't too bad. You need a car to get around in Santa Fe anyway.
Grace was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We went to Santa Fe in mid-March and although it was very cold at night, Grace had her home nicely heated for us. She left us clear instructions as well as great recommendations for things to do in the area. Her home itself is very lovely, including a back porch perfect for watching sunsets or hanging out. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in a quiet serene home just outside of downtown Santa Fe.
Wonderful stay over the holidays. The house is well equipped, private and spotless. Very cosy. Special things - the birds congregate by the feeders situated strategically by windows, so many varieties including a hawk. The sunsets are spectacular. The stars in the high desert away from city lights are breathtaking. Who knew the Milky Way had so many stars. Thank you for sharing Grace!
My husband and I stayed here for 4 days before Christmas. It was our first time to Santa Fe (which is an amazing city). Grace provides a space that feels like a resort. The views are beautiful and the area around the house is private and serene. It snowed on our first night, which brought many beautiful and colorful birds to Grace's feeders.
It's a comfortable place and isn't too far from downtown Santa Fe. The drive is quite nice and relaxing. There is a shopping center nearby where we were able to get essential groceries. There are also a couple restaurants, including a really great pizza place.
We highly recommend!!!
A wonderful home minutes from the plaza! The photo's look just like the house beautiful Spanish tile and Kiva fireplaces awesome adobe style home... very large and roomy.... big kitchen and baths... We were very comfortable there, sat outside in the morning drinking coffee, watching the birds and enjoyed the peace and quite.
Love this place!!!!
The home is in the country, in a quiet suburb only about 20 minutes from Santa Fe.
We stayed seven nights and knew we were looking for a nice place with comforts and amenities befitting the rental rate of $120 per night. The photos led us to believe we would get what we were looking for.
We do have a couple of issues to report...
We were disappointed to discover that the bed had a very firm futon mattress and we would have preferred to know that in advance. The owner did not indicate in advance that we would have to bring our own bath soap. The radiant floor heat takes about 24 hours to affect the temperature in the house and it was not apparent how to adjust it correctly.
On the positive side...
The sunsets from the back porch were spectacular, if not sometimes a bit cold at the end of September in the high altitude
of the Santa Fe area. We did not try the local restaurants, but went into the big city instead and were delighted with all that Santa Fe has to offer.
Our stay at Grace's beautiful, serene country home was great. We were so glad we rented this home for our vacation rather than staying in a motel and the price was right. I was a little nervous that we would not be getting what we thought or that the pictures were photo shopped to look better than it actually is but I am glad to say it was all it was cracked up to be. It felt like home away from home. It was a little further from Sante Fe than we realized but not too bad.
Was a great first experience with air bnb, Grace was easy to communicate with when we needed anything simple, like a suggestion for a hike. Her home had everything PLUS what we needed to cook and relax. The sunsets while having dinner were amazing!! The location was very easy to get to and very easy access to everything! Would stay there again and recommend to my friends!
We loved our stay at Grace's home. It was peaceful and inspiring to be surrounded by the beautiful landscape and other adobe houses. How wonderful to wake up to bird song, and after a long day of exploring the sights it was nice to come home, sit on the back porch with a drink and watch the sunset. Grace has really made her home a comfortable getaway for her guests.
Great home close to the wonderful experience of Santa Fe, but far enough away to provide a peaceful, serene stay in the area. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the rear portal watching the sunset and beautiful skies over the mountains in the evening. Grace was a fine host and helpful in many ways. We would definitely stay here again.
