Ballinahinch

House - Entire home/apt · Kilmallock, Limerick, Ireland

The Space

The House at Ballinahinch is about 100 years old and was originally two very small farm workers cottages. About 10 years ago the property was modernized and two bedrooms and an extra bathroom added. So now it’s a traditional 2 bedroom cottage with a few mod cons and features. It is in a small Hamlet with a few houses that are mainly farms but a few modern homes have sprung up. The house is very private especially at the back. You are not overlooked and have no immediate neighbours. The surrounding area is rolling hills and is great walking country and nearby Kilfinnane is a walking centre and the local office can give you lots of information about where to go and what to do.

  • John is a wonderful host! We (me and my husband) arrived very late, about 3 or 4 in the morning because there was a collapse at Gatwick (trains did not function after storm) and he waited us. He even met us at the bus station when we were absolutely tired, upset and fell into despair. He explained everything very carefully, advised where is the supermarket and answered all the questions we had. For our delight there was a bottle of Whiskey which was left by the previous guests. Special thanks for that! The flat appeared to be very cosy, calm and spacious. We took a rest and had a wonderful time in London. There is everything we needed in the flat. Across the road there is a nice park. I think the place and the house are very good. I was absolutely OK with the apartment block and buildings outside. Yes this is not a Zimniy palace but this is a very nice and cosy flat very close to the center at a reasonable price. After the New Year celebration we walked on foot from Trafalgar square.
Dear John, thank you very much, this was out first experience with airbnb. We would be happy to stay in the flat again.

  • I rented the john's flat for 5 nights and i'm able to say it's a very nice flat with 2 nice bedroom (big beds), a big kitchen and a very comfortable couch!
the flat is located 1miles away from the first underground station finsbury park, it's a little pain to walk 1miles (1,4km) everyday but the tube station has 2 lines!! victoria and picadilly so it's very fast to go in the center of london, maybe 20minutes for oxford circus and picadilly! 2 stations for king's cross st pancras!

the shower is large so it's very enjoyable to take a shower!

The flat is exactly the same as the pictures!

John is a very kind guy, very available if you need him during your stay!

if i need to say something wrong :
we had to hoover the kitchen because we saw some crumbs!

    thank you john !

  • I really enjoyed my stay here. The flat has great room space and all appliances we could use where there.
It is very close to the bike rental station and Old Street metro or even a quick stroll into Shoreditch area with great restaurants and nightlive.
The apartment block is not at all fancy, keep that in mind.

  • Nice place. I needed a flat for a month while I was staying in town. Convenient location, close to Old Street. John was helpful. The kitchen was very useful. I'd stay here again.

  • John's flat is terrific and he was an excellent host, responding promptly to any queries we had.

We stayed for quite a long time and it was a real home away from home for us. The flat is spacious, very nicely situated on a quiet street, and has a fabulous conservatory/dining room that gives onto the back garden.

Thanks to John, our first Airbnb experience was extremely positive.

  • We appreciated our stay in this cosy flat. It truely corresponds to the posted photos and description: although the outside building is not so nice, the flat is bright, clean, and with all the necessary stuffs (nice plants included ^__^ ) and very conviniently located. The host was nice and ready to help. We would recommend it for a short let downtown London.

  • What a lovely flat! My family was delighted to stay in a proper home on their first visit to London. The memory foam bed in one room was a welcome treat after long days in London! And as others have mentioned, the sun-roofed dining room is great ~ even in the rain! The flat is well-equipped and in a good area, easy to get to the city center with a short walk to the tube station. I would have liked to explore the neighborhood more as there seemed to be a lot of cool stuff about, but time was limited. John is very friendly and accommodating, very flexible with check-in times! I would definitely stay here again.

  • John's flat was beautiful and comfortable. John was very helpful with directions and information before we arrived at the flat. He was also generous enough to collect us from the train station as well which was great because it was pouring with rain! He also checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was fine and to find out if we needed anything. The flat is beautiful and spacious. Both bedrooms are a generous size, The lounge room also has a large comfrotable lounge and seperate seating area that leads onto the kitchen. The kitchen then leads onto an amazing dining space within a conservatory. We spent a great deal of time here looking out onto the lovely garden. The flat was perfect for our needs and we thank John for making our stay so comfortable and easy.

  • I had a lovely 2 week stay here. The flat was very clean and organised and there was plenty of fresh linen and towels. The location is great too. Would definitely recommend it.
