Gorgeous apartment. Very well presented and felt like we are at home! Very welcoming host. Apartment was clean and very spacious. Location was great - many bars and restaurants nearby and metro station only a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely visit again! Had a problem with the light and the host came to fix it immediately. This was really appreciated! Had a great time!
A very comfortable place to stay for our family of 4 with lots of space. The apartment had everything we needed, from big things like a washing machine to small things like balsamic vinegar, olive oil & coffee in the kitchen. Even though located outside the main tourist areas, conveniently located to catch the bus or tram to the major sites. The area might look a bit rough from the graffiti but we felt perfectly safe and the area is filled with students. It is very quiet during the day and comes to life in the evening.
Located in the very first Montessori School in the world ( how cool is that ? ) Lovely apartment in the San Lorenzo area of Rome. Well appointed , good beds, big shower and plenty of space to spread out. Outside is a enclosed garden which is so nice to walk through when arriving or upon leaving the apartment. The concierge / caretaker - Joseph - is a treasure, so helpful and willing to help. The area looks a bit seedy because of the 'fashion' to graffiti the walls on the streets in this area ( ! ) but we were pleasantly surprised at how friendly and open and honest the locals were ! The restaurants just next to the apartment were great value for money and were at least half the price of similar restaurants in the popular tourist areas of Rome. Our favourite was 'PORCA E VACA' - just a short stroll away - we left some of their cards in the apartment. Yes we would book this apartment again as we felt very safe and comfortable at all times here. It was a real taste of the REAL Rome !
Jimmy's place is clean, bright, modern and spacious. There are great restaurants and a beautiful night market nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Fantastic, clean and spacious apartment. It had all we needed. Its located in the student hub near the university campus. lots of eateries and a supermarket is close by. the supermarket we found quite cheap, but this may be because its customers are mostly students. the apartment had helpful information in a folder regarding where to eat and public transport, which was very helpful. we were a group of three women and felt safe walking around at night - dont be put off by the "rough look" of the neighbourhood. the shop owners close by are very friendly as well, even though our Italian was not very good. San Lorenzo is pretty central and found it easy to get to the main attractions around Rome using public transport (buses and trams). its also not far from Termini station. it should only cost you $15 Euro - dont let a cab driver tell you otherwise. (our cab driver on arrival ripped us off unfortunately)
Mr Joseph met us when we got there and let us check in early. He was very accomodating and pleasant to deal with. Mr Joseph also helped us arrange transport to Fiumicino Airport.
My friend who helped me arrange our accomodation said that Daniella was also fantastic to deal with.
The apartment was PERFECTO for the four of us! Spotlessly clean and comfortable. There was a house manual available with information on public transit and recommendations for places to eat. The manager. Joseph, was friendly and quick to help us when we had questions regarding the electricity. I was particularly pleased that he arranged for me to observe in the Montessori classroom downstairs. He then took me through the children's garden. I am a retired Montessori teacher-so being in the original Casa di Bambini was quite moving. We would be happy to return to the flat on our next visit to Roma.
