Our warm and inviting space is a cheap and pleasant place to stay in the Boston area. A comfy memory foam bed awaits in a cool neighborhood with a fun pub just down the street.
Note your window overlooks our courtyard which results in a quiet night (no street traffic noise).
Come stay with us! Our second bedroom is brand new, my partner David put in the hardwood floors himself. Painted a serene blue and with windows on our courtyard, this room is an escape from the bustle of Cambridge. The room is very private as it is on the opposite side of the apartment from our bedroom (with the living room in between). Up one flight of stairs, you have a great view of our lush green courtyard!
The room has a full-sized bed with memory foam mattress pad, private entrance, plenty of space, and WiFi. You are also welcome to share our living room with a couch, dining table, refrigerator, and full kitchen in case you don't want to eat out every night. I will say we are not home most weekends and when you inquire I'll let you know if we will be away,
Feel free to borrow one of our many board games or lounge outside in our shared (but barely used) courtyard. You must share the bathroom with us, but it is clean and was completely remodeled this past fall. We put in the best shower possible, people even write about it in reviews.
Accessible by the Lechmere T (13 minute walk) or the 69 bus which loops from the Lechmere T to Harvard square conveniently pausing in front of our building. Walk to Inman Square for shops and bars (8 minutes), or down to Kendall Square (18 minutes). Also, parking is available and free. Grocery store is also only a 5 minute walk.
Check in and check out are VERY flexible and I am free to help you plan mass transit routes or fill you in on parking! Coin operated laundry in the basement - you can use my detergent.
A great, inexpensive place to stay if you are visiting MIT or Harvard (David commutes to Harvard daily). Also Boston accessible if you just don't want to stay IN the city. Not only will you have a relaxing and accessible place to stay, you'll have hosts who love to host!
Interaction with Guests
We love chatting with guests! If we are home during your stay we love hearing about your day in the evenings, but if you don't feel like chatting that is OK! If we won't be home during your stay I'll tell you at booking.
No smoking and no pets. Relax and enjoy, but please don't eat our food. Please turn off the lights and air conditioning when you are not home.
If I'm not home you can just leave the keys on the table and lock the handle as you go.
Have a great time in our city!
Kats place was great! We stayed there for 3 nights although kat was away for the weekend she was responsive throughout our stay. The place is cute - comfy and had everything you need.
Close to the T which was grest for getting into the city - great location for anyone wanting to stay just out of the main part of the city.
I would recommend kats place to anyone :)
The reservation was canceled 58 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Perfect location for MIT campus and very nice hosts :)
Kat and David were great hosts! They were very friendly with lots of suggestions for great places in the neighbourhood. The apartment is well located for walking around Cambridge and easy to get across the bridge to Boston.
We stayed with Kat for three nights in early April. Kat was a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome and was always happy to recommend spots to go. The room was as described & the apartment was in a good location, near restaurants & MIT/Havard. The room was private and there was hardly any noise off the street. This was my first AirBnB experience and it was great, definitely doing it again!
Great stay at Kat's place. Clean room and fresh sheets. Location is close to Harvard

I'm a fun-loving musician who recently moved to Cambridge. I work in donor relations by day and do music by night. My hobbies other than music include indoor rock climbing, half-marathoning, and rollerblading. My husband David and I are renting out our 2nd bedroom to pay for my part-time MBA at UMass and save up for our next home.
I like to learn something from every person I meet. What will you teach me about life?
