Ideal base for exploring London and the markets, shops and restaurants of the city's coolest neighbourhood
Welcome to your new home from home in Notting Hill!
There is one large living room with big sash windows, a comfy sofa, gas fire and flatscreen TV; one large and one smaller double bedroom; a pretty bathroom with bath and shower and a good-sized kitchen with gas hob, oven, fridge and washer dryer. The flat also has fold out dining tables in the living room and kitchen.
You'll find the flat clean and ready to go with fresh sheets on the beds and fresh towels. The flat comes with all services including WiFi (landline telephone not provided). It is fully furnished with all you'll need for your stay from linen, to a fully-equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting room with flatscreen TV and Freeview channels.
We are a creative couple who have spent time designing and decorating the apartment to a high standard. The apartment has gorgeous large windows on all sides which flood the rooms with light and is located on the top floor of a period-conversion property which is shared with eight other flats. The building is quiet and well-kept. There is also the use of a shared terrace for sunny days.
We especially enjoy hosting families with children, although all groups are of course welcome. We have a travel cot available for those with young children.
Please be aware there a three flights of stairs from the street to the flat door so you you need to be able to climb stairs easily.
The street is extremely quiet with minimal traffic and no buses while also being within very short walking distance to the heart of the local market, shopping and dining areas. We have lived in the area for ten years and can also provide you with a guide to the best restaurants, shops and bars in the area and in London.
Our home has a lovely peaceful atmosphere and has always felt like a sanctuary to us in the heart of the city. We hope you'll enjoy it and even that you might come back and stay regularly with us - making this your very own Notting Hill Pad.
Guests can enjoy the whole apartment and have access to a shared roof terrace.
Interaction with Guests
Our guests are greeted on arrival by our property manager Cristina, who will also be available to help with anything during their stay. On check out Cristina will meet the guests to ensure everything is in order.
Located on a quiet street just two minutes from vibrant Portobello Road and close to both Ladbroke Grove and Holland Park tube stations this is the ideal place to spend some time in one of London's most exclusive areas.
With central London just ten minutes away by tube you can also dip into the best the capital has to offer. The nearest stations are Ladbroke Grove and Holland Park. There are several bus stops within a few minutes walk from the apartment. City bikes are also available for rental right outside our front door.
Other Things to Note
There is a cleaning and laundry fee of £60 (approx $100 or €70) added to the overall bill to cover the cleaning and laundry fee irrespective of the number of days booked.
We would ask our guests to treat our home with respect and care and leave it as they found it.
Absolutely no high heels on inside the house please - we have wooden floors which would be ruined.
No smoking please - guests can smoke on the shared roof terrace and discard any cigarette butts in the container provided.
No pets please.
We ask our guests to be polite and respectful to the residents in our building - absolutely no loud parties allowed and keeping noise to a considerate level throughout their stay.
Other than that please make yourselves at home.
This apartment was exactly how it was described online. It is spacious and cozy and has all of the necessities for a one week stay. Cristina was extremely helpful and made us feel at home. The location is PERFECT. Felt VERY safe! So close to Portabello Rd. with many options for dining and shopping. Short walk to 2 tube stations. Perfect for a family who wants a quiet location, but with easy access to the action. Simone was very attentive and addressed all questions and concerns that I had. I would absolutely stay here again!
We were made to feel very welcome, the flat was as described, and
the area is fantastic.
From the moment we arrived in London we were welcomed to Simone & Carlos's place. It's a beautiful flat in a great area, accessible by the Tube in zone 2 only a stones throw from Central London. We enjoyed the great pubs and parks in the area too.
After a long day sightseeing our favourite thing was to prepare a lovely meal in the well appointed kitchen and relax in front of the beautiful fireplace in the lounge and retire with a movie.
Also have a soak in the big bath tub.
The flat is warmed with the central heating and has two well appointed bedrooms. We were only 2 on our stay, but the flat would comfortably accomodate 2 couples or a family.
We were lucky to have beautiful sunny days during our 10 night stay, so we enjoyed soaking in the sun on the roof top.
There was nothing more we could have asked for during our stay in London, but if there were anything we needed, the facilities manager made herself completely available to us.
With the wonderful library available in the flat, some days we found it hard to put down the books and leave.
We loved the guest book, or wall as it were, we left our mark along with the many guests before us.
Thank you Simone & Carlos I will recommend your beautiful accomodation to my friends and look forward to staying at your place again next time we visit.
"Perfect Notting Hill Pad" is an accurate description of the lovely, cozy apartment. This was exactly what we needed for the last leg of our trip to Europe. The layout is great and it has all the amenities you need and then some. We took our time leaving the in the mornings and enjoyed unwinding in the evenings. This place really added to the enjoyment of our trip to London.
Was fortunate enough to meet Simone and the Property Manager Cristina who were both lovely. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. It exceeded my expectations.
Simone and Carlos were excellent hosts. Their apartment was immaculate, warm, and very comfortable. It was tastefully decorated and equipped for our stay nicely. The ability to access the rooftop deck was a delightful benefit that would be a real coup in the warmer months. The location is very convenient to portobello road and some excellent dining options. It was a great place for our holiday and we would certainly consider staying again.
My husband and I and another couple stayed at Simone and Carlos's place over Christmas this year (2014). Although we did not meet them personally I communicated with Simone numerous times before our visit for advice on Christmas lunch bookings, parking and what to do in London during our stay. She was extremely helpful and I honestly felt as though I was going to stay at a friends place when we journeyed to London. We met Christina their property manager on arrival and she was extremely friendly and let us know the ropes of the apartment.
The apartment itself is amazing, clean, well presented and definitely enough room for four. The heater worked a treat with the cold Christmas chill and we enjoyed a day by the fire watching movies after an indulgent Christmas day. The location is also great as its around the corner from the portobello market and their are 2 tube stations walking distance.
I have used air bnb a few times and this is one my top stays so far. I would definitely recommend Simone and Carlo’s place and if I ever return to London I would love to stay here again.
The house is very nice, clean and comfortable. Located in one of the best street in Notting Hill, very calm and quiet, 10 min from Portobello. The kitchen is really equipped and well organized. Communication with the host perfect!

I'm a 35-year old designer who lived in Notting Hill for ten years and who grew up just outside London. Carlos is a 39-year old surfer and entrepreneur from the Mediterranean Sea. We met in Notting Hill in 2011 and recently got married. We love designing and creating together, travelling and being close to the sea and to nature. We've both travelled all over the world, we love to cook and enjoy cooking for our many friends in London. We designed and decorated our home ourselves and every detail has a story about part of our life and our adventures, first separately and now together. We now divide our time between Andalusia and our place in Notting Hill.
