I can't imagine a better place to come back to after exploring all the things Westport has to offer. The Red Door has everything you need to relax, entertain, or be entertained and Tracy is the perfect host, with a warm welcome, a fire ready to go and milk in the fridge.
The pics don't do this home justice! It is a lovely/cozy house in a country setting. It rained 2 days of our visit which only gave us more time to snuggle up to the fire. The setting was great for a large group of friends from all over the globe to gather and reconnect during the new year period. Town was lovely. Reasonable vans/taxi for transport. Nice neighbours. Only comment would be that one room has 2 double beds which might feel awkward for couples to share but would be good for families with kids.
We had a fantastic few days at the Red Door. The house is stunning and Tracy has thought about everything her guests could possibly need. The kitchen is really well equipped which was great for a big family group like ours. The weather was glorious so we made full use of the garden, BBQ and fishing rods, and spent some time at the beach, which the kids loved.
Great house for a long week end or for holidays.
We were 7 and had plenty of space. The pics dont reflect how spacious and well decorated it is. Also its very close from the city, various activities to do close to the place. As others the weather wasnt our bestfriend, tracy recommended us to come back in the summer.
Defintely a place to recommend.
Only warning, the final price was way above the one indicated by airbnb so id suggest a confirmation with tracy.
We had a brilliant weekend in Westport - 12 of us stayed in Tracy's beautiful house to celebrate a birthday.
Tracy was really accommodating and helpful. The house was perfect for a big group - really well equipped kitchen with plenty of big pots, plates, cutlery etc for cooking. Bedrooms were spacious with en suite bathrooms and the beds were all really comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The place is really nicely decorated.
We had planned to do the Seaway to Greenway (where you take a boat from Westport Quay to Mullranney then collect bikes and cycle back to Westport) but the weather didn't co operate. We'll have to come back in Summer when weather is promised better. Tracy has a lovely garden with gorgeous furniture. Next time we'd love to sit outside and enjoy!!
Beautiful home, huge ensuite guest room and the loveliest, most helpful hosts. Was a perfect stay. I would recommend to stay with the Kiernan's anytime, especially as 'base camp' when exploring the counties of Mayo, Sligo and Galway. Exceeded our expectations.
