  • Lysan's apartment is really a great place if you would like to explore Amsterdam, a city definitely worth visiting. No matter whether you would like to party at night, visit the numerous museums or go shopping in the fabulous stores, the apartment is situated perfectly near the city centre, so you can easily walk to all the famous sights and places! The apartment is cozy and comfortable, including even a small kitchen with everything you need. Even though it is so central, it is a quiet apartment where you can relax from your city tour. Lysan is very friendly and helpful and does not hesitate to recommend to you nice places or good restaurants. We will definitely go back to Amsterdam and to Lysan's apartment soon!! :-)

  • Lysan's apartment was absolutely perfect! It is in a great location for exploring the city (especially de Jordaan, which was our favourite bit) and a lovely base to stay at. It was light, airy and clean, the bed was very comfortable indeed. It was very useful to have the kitchen facilities there too.
Lysan kindly lent us a a Museum Pass for the weekend, which meant that we had free entry into lots of places, which was a terrific added bonus!
Unless you find stairs tricky (the studio is at the top of a rather steep staircase), I'd highly recommend Lysan's studio to anyone!

  • Great apartment with an excellent location.
The apartment itself was a great size with everything that we needed for a weekend stay.
The location was perfect, 5 minute walk from the Anne Frank house, 10 minutes at most to the 9 streets and 15 minutes for the flowermarket which eventually leads onto the 'central Amsterdam' area.
Loved the area of the apartment, chilled out with so many choices for cafes and restaurants. Excellent vintage shops too!
Would return and recommend to others. If you want to be central to all the sites without being in a real tourist trap area, this is the perfect apartment for it!

  • Charming studio overlooking the canals. Nice to live like the locals. Lysan our host was so gracious to leave a Museum Card for us. Unit is actually on 5th level if you count the ground floor as level 1. Narrow old style spiral staircase, make sure you have a backpack or only light luggage with you. Toilet for own use across the tiny hallway, as others have described, challenging to use if you have long legs. One block away from tram stop. Very close to Anne Frank Museum.

  • Very good stay!

  • Lysan greeted us as the apartment and gave us helpful advice on good areas to visit, including bars and restaurants. We would definitely share her recommendation of lunch at rasmataz (near by) Lysan also let us borrow a museum card which was very kind as it allowed for one of us to enter museums for free.

The apartment itself was in a fantastic area, on the edge of Jordan - very pretty and really easy to access all that Amsterdam has to offer both by foot or tram. We loved the apartment and it suited our needs perfectly. There are a fair few stairs to climb and they are quite steep- but I think this is quite usual for Amsterdam! We didn't quite realise the private toilet was across the landing way when we booked but this didn't prove to be an issue, especially as no-one currently lives in the next door apartment.

The bed was comfy and the tv was good also, we especially liked having access to the wifi. We found it a bit strange that there wasn't any curtains but again wonder if this is common for Amsterdam- it wasn't too much of a problem as the windows are high'ish.

Overall the apartment was lovely and the location was fantastic. Lysan was a great host and said we could contact her if we had any problems but we found no need to. We would definitely recommend it to others.
