Prior to staying with Rose, she quickly answered all the questions I had about her place. She welcomed us and gave us a personal tour of her guest suite. She was interested in our lives and was ready to give tips on what to do and see in the area. She even had a collection of brochures and magazines for us to peruse. Her suite was very clean and had everything we needed for three adults and a baby. I would highly recommend her suite to anyone visiting Portland. We especially enjoyed her location as it was close to shops, restaurants, food trucks, etc. Wonderful lady, wonderful place!
Rose was welcoming and very helpful in letting us know how everything worked in the apartment and suggestions for making our stay pleasant. She has a great "library" of things to do in Portland for all interests and even menus from local restaurants. This is a real bonus to help plan for what to do. Apartment is in an awesome setting in Sellwood, close to hiking, restaurants, and parks. Great bonus of having w/d
We have visited Portland many times so we knew that Rose's Airbnb accommodation was in a wonderful location--close to our favorite breakfast/lunch/coffee place, interesting shops, great restaurants and pleasant parks. The guest suite was exactly as described on the website. It was immaculate and well-equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Although Rose was out-of-town while we were there, she checked in with us by phone several times before, during and after our stay. I will definitely consider this property again the next time we travel to Portland.
I originally booked the studio for myself only, as I was headed to a Yoga training for the week, however it turned out that my mother also decided to come along to see her friend in Sellwood. The cozy suite was perfect for both of us, with fridge, microwave, private bathroom, full-sized bed and sofa-pull-out-bed. The suite was clean and private, with special plus of a hot tub in the garden, which we both enjoyed. The house is located in a safe, family-oriented neighborhood, and one can walk to the coffee shop or New Seasons Market. Rose was a perfect hostess, showing me where everything was, with tips on the local goodies, etc. If I come next year for my training, I will book again in advance--conveniently located, also, only 5 minutes across Sellwood Bridge from the studio where I study with my teacher. Thank you, Rose!
Rose was very welcoming and accommodating. The downstairs apt was great, very private. The bed was very comfortable - just small for the two of us used to a king bed. ;-) We appreciated several "extras" often missing from B&B accommodations like lots of mirrors, bedside lighting, lots of storage. Beautiful bathroom and nice patio with hot tub. We loved the neighborhood - great for walking and biking. We'd stay here again!
Rose provided us with all the information we needed prior to our visit - directions to the place and how to get in. The rooms were immaculate when we arrived, stocked with everything we might possibly need. There were books and maps of the area and notes about the space. We felt very welcomed!
I booked Rose's guest studio for my parents while they were visiting Portland.
Rose was a very gracious host, and made my parents feel very welcome and comfortable. The studio is very tidy, cozy, and comfortable, and it's perfectly located, just blocks from all of Sellwood's shops and cafes. I would recommend this listing to anyone staying in Sellwood. Rose is a fantastic host.

About the Host, Rose
I am thrilled to welcome new friends to my home. I have been in the travel/tourism business for years. I lived in Santa Fe, NM; Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona; San Diego and Los Angeles California; Racine, Wisconsin and Pensacola, Florida. I found a home in Oregon and moved here in 1997 discovering all of what I enjoyed in other places I've lived. I am an advocate for Oregon through my work and my hobbies. I enjoy seeing others discover the beauties of Oregon, especially of my
friendly neighborhood. Sellwood is a great place to walk and discover the quaint Portland antique shops or to dine Al fresco at the neighborhood food carts and a variety of wonderful restaurants.
Since I love to travel. I am always looking for great places to visit and I have traveled to many countries over the years. Another reason I welcome people from near and far.
