Description

This is a completely private 1 bedroom apartment fully stocked with everything you need. This is ideal for 1 or 2 people, however if you are on a budget there is an air mattress that can also sleep 2 as well in the living room, as well as a couch.

Come stay in my TOTALLY PRIVATE 1 Bedroom apartment located in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn! This private, clean 1 bedroom is located on the entire 2nd floor of a 3 family building, complete with its own full size kitchen, bathroom, living room, and breakfast nook. It has everything you would possibly need for a comfortable stay. It is ideal for 2 people, but if you are traveling on a budget I do allow up to 4 people and offer a queen sized air mattress in the apartment.

The apartment is located on a very quiet, tranquil tree-lined street, yet 1/2 block away from amazing restaurants, bars, shops, laundromats, grocery & 24-hr convenient stores on trendy Franklin St. so you get the best of both worlds!

If you decide you'd like to venture out to Manhattan, it's super easy! There are plenty of options to get you to there quickly:

1) We are 1 block from the East River Ferry, the best way to both get around & see the city. A 10 minute, cheap & spectacular boat ride to Midtown Manhattan (on 34th street). 5 other stops going to all the great Brooklyn and Manhattan destinations: Wall Street, Dumbo, Williamsburg, Long Island City and on weekends to Governors Island. You can do an Internet search for East River Ferry for more info.

2) We are 2 blocks from the Greenpoint Avenue G (Subway) Station. (on the India St. entrance)

3) It's a 10 minute walk to the 7 train (Subway) over the Pulaski Bridge which brings you to Grand Central Station and Times Square in 5 min. (total approx. travel time 15 min)

There is one large queen sized bed with a beautiful view of the back yard garden. The comfy couch can also sleep 1. In addition, we have a queen sized air mattress if you prefer. This will sleep 2 people.

Children are definitely welcome! We have a high chair, pack-n-play and plenty of toys available upon request & all are always free of charge.

Linens, towels, basic paper products and soap/shampoo/conditioner are included. I have a hair dryer also located in bathroom. On street parking is free, safe and widely available most likely in front of our home.

The bathroom is clean and new and has a tub/shower, toilet & sink.

Kitchen is equipped with a fridge, sink, gas stove, pots & pans, toaster oven, coffee maker, coffee grinder, kettle and blender. We have plenty of dishes/cups/coffee mugs/utensils as well.

Wi-Fi and Satellite TV included. Satellite TV has 259 channels as well in case you want to stay in and take it easy.

This is a super clean newly renovated private 1 bedroom on a quiet block. You really can have it all here, quiet when you need it but minutes away from all the action!

Getting to our apartment from the airport is also a breeze:

-Laguardia Airport is 7 miles from the apartment. It typically takes 15-20 min. for a taxi/car ride. Taxi fare is approx. $23-25 (both dependent on traffic)

-JFK Airport is 15 miles from apt. It typically takes30-35 min. for a taxi/car ride. Fare approx. $35-40 (both dependent on traffic)

-Newark Airport is 18 miles from apt. It typically takes 35-40 min. and is around $50 for a taxi (both dependent on traffic)

There are no shared amenities, you have your own apartment with it's own fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. There is also a living room and kitchen nook for eating. Nothing is off limits.

You are welcome to leave luggage in the hallway if your flight is later than check out time, we can arrange for you to drop off keys at a later time.

(For example, if your flight is at 5pm and check out is at 10am, you can leave your luggage in hallway at 10am and go out for the day, come back to pick up luggage and drop off keys later in the afternoon before heading to the airport)

I own the 3 family building, which has its own separate apartment on each floor. I live on the first floor with my husband, so I am as accessible as you want :) we can either arrange for a meeting when you arrive to hand over keys and I can show you to your apartment. I usually go over details of the apartment and neighborhood, or if it's late and/or I will not be home, we set up a place to pick up keys (usually the mailbox). You will be staying on the second floor. I am available if you have any questions, and you are also welcome to just come down to the first floor and knock on the door if you need anything as well :)

I love Greenpoint! I personally think it is the best neighborhood in the city. It has the perfect mix of everything you could possibly want. It is peppered with tons of cool shops and restaurants, without being overcrowded (at least not yet)

There is street parking (non-metered) and you can usually find parking right outside the building. There are a couple times per week you need to move the car for street cleaning so be sure to look at the parking signs and move your car during street cleaning hours.
The ferry is located 1 block away and the G Train is located 2 blocks from the apartment so is is super convenient. I go into further detail on the best/fastest ways to get to the city in my apartment description so please check that out for more info

Excellent place. Great location near east river ferry, bars, restaurants etc. Street parking super easy. Surprisingly spacious for 2 kids and 2 adults. Lisa allowed us to leave luggage after checking out which let us enjoy the day in the city. Communicating with her was super easy and quick.

Awesome location so close to subway, ferry, citibikes etc and Lisa was a perfect, attentive and very friendly and accomodating host. The apartment was lovely, in a great neighbourhood close to supermarkets, cafes and transport, very safe feeling for our family day or night and a great vibe. Would definitely return.... fantastic holiday!!!

This was my best airbnb experience so far. My husband and I and our 16 mo stayed at Lisa's place and not only is the apartment spotless, beautiful, well-sized (for New York) and cozy - but it was perfectly set up for traveling with kids. Everything from a rocking chair in the bedroom to toys in the closet. The greenpoint area is also really convenient for getting into manhattan. Lisa and her husband were super responsive as well. All in all a great stay!

As former Greenpointers, this place was such a gem to come for our first family visit NYC for a week. Though the neighborhood has definitely changed, we were delighted to see more coffee shops and restaurants, easy access to the subway, ferry, and bus and so much more! We ventured easily many days into the city and coming home to this well stocked, super comfy and homey apartment was just perfect. We easily were able to coordinate a late check in and even were able to get a Fresh Direct delivery so we'd have breakfast and lunch groceries for the week. Super easy to text Lisa too! Hoping to come back someday again soon!
