Interaction with Guests
I own the 3 family building, which has its own separate apartment on each floor. I live on the first floor with my husband, so I am as accessible as you want :) we can either arrange for a meeting when you arrive to hand over keys and I can show you to your apartment. I usually go over details of the apartment and neighborhood, or if it's late and/or I will not be home, we set up a place to pick up keys (usually the mailbox). You will be staying on the second floor. I am available if you have any questions, and you are also welcome to just come down to the first floor and knock on the door if you need anything as well :)
I love Greenpoint! I personally think it is the best neighborhood in the city. It has the perfect mix of everything you could possibly want. It is peppered with tons of cool shops and restaurants, without being overcrowded (at least not yet)
There is street parking (non-metered) and you can usually find parking right outside the building. There are a couple times per week you need to move the car for street cleaning so be sure to look at the parking signs and move your car during street cleaning hours.
The ferry is located 1 block away and the G Train is located 2 blocks from the apartment so is is super convenient. I go into further detail on the best/fastest ways to get to the city in my apartment description so please check that out for more info
There is no smoking in the apartment. You can go outside and smoke out in front of the building if you need to. Sorry, no pets.
Lisa made us feel very welcome. She was very helpful with directions and advice after we booked and was quite happy for us to leave our luggage while the room was prepared, as we arrived very early. The apartment is beautiful and was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed the experience of living in a neighbourhood for a few days rather than staying in a hotel. We thought the location was excellent. The G line subway station is only about 5 minutes away which made it easy to get to the apartment from JFK, but during our stay we used the East River Ferry (which is also a 5 minute walk) which took us to Brooklyn Bridge and across the river to mid-town Manhattan and Wall Street in no time at all. In the evenings we enjoyed some excellent bars and little restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood. A lovely apartment in a great location and we would love to go back.
Lisa made us feel very welcome. She was out of town when we arrived and key pick up was prearranged and directions were great. The apartment was exactly as described and pictured but did not give you the feel you get when you walk in the door. It felt like home. It was warm, very comfortable, elegant and had everything we needed. The location is perfect. So close to fast transport to Manhattan without the crowds and noise. Loved using the East River Ferry and MTA alike
The apartment is in an excellent location. We loved eating locally and wandering the streets. So easy to get to Manhattan but then good to escape the hustle and bustle and return to Greenpoints many fantastic bars, cafes and restaurants. You don't need a recommendation because everywhere we went was great. The apartment was just as described and very cosy to come home to every night. A great alternative to hotels as you can pretend you are a local.
My family and I stayed at Lisa's this past spring break and we had a great time! My only regret is that we spent most of our time touring the sights of New York City that we left little time to enjoy Lisa's beautiful apartment. The apartment was more than we were expecting and conveniently located to the Geeen Point Metro and neighborhood shops and restaurants/cafes. I was also able to shop at nearby markets and cook meals for my family in the cute kitchen, which was fully stocked.
Although I did not get the chance to meet Lisa personally, she always made herself available and was very helpful answering all my questions. She also made check-in and check-out so easy even though we arrived in the middle of the night and left before sun up! My family and I look forward to staying at Lisa's the next time we're in town!

This place is great--beautiful space, good drinks, seriously delicious food. Its a great addition to the area. Ive eaten there a handful of times and have always had a lovely time.Greenpoint Avenue Brooklyn NY 11222
Best Pizza in Brooklyn! Be prepared, this place is always busy but its worth it. The pizzas are all medium pies. The crust is thin, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is dynamic.Greenpoint Avenue NY 11222
