Interaction with Guests
I own the 3 family building, which has its own separate apartment on each floor. I live on the first floor with my husband, so I am as accessible as you want :) we can either arrange for a meeting when you arrive to hand over keys and I can show you to your apartment. I usually go over details of the apartment and neighborhood, or if it's late and/or I will not be home, we set up a place to pick up keys (usually the mailbox). You will be staying on the second floor. I am available if you have any questions, and you are also welcome to just come down to the first floor and knock on the door if you need anything as well :)
I love Greenpoint! I personally think it is the best neighborhood in the city. It has the perfect mix of everything you could possibly want. It is peppered with tons of cool shops and restaurants, without being overcrowded (at least not yet)
There is street parking (non-metered) and you can usually find parking right outside the building. There are a couple times per week you need to move the car for street cleaning so be sure to look at the parking signs and move your car during street cleaning hours.
The ferry is located 1 block away and the G Train is located 2 blocks from the apartment so is is super convenient. I go into further detail on the best/fastest ways to get to the city in my apartment description so please check that out for more info
There is no smoking in the apartment. You can go outside and smoke out in front of the building if you need to. Sorry, no pets.
We had a very great time at the apartment and Lisa was very kind. The apartment was very clean and there was enough space for the four of us. The location is perfect, close to the subway and there is a nice boardwalk nearby where you can see the beautiful skyline of Manhattan! We would definitely recommend Lisa her apartment.
Awesome place, felt like home - comfortable, nicely decorated and roomy. It was super convenient to both the ferry and subway so it was easy to get around. And it's lovely walking around such a pretty neighbourhood! For people wanting good espresso coffee it's a stroll to Propeller and Early which are both good! Would definitely recommend to friends.
Dream place, awesome furniture and decoration. Perfect location, one block from East River and the Ferry. Greenpoint seems to have lots of good places to eat, I really liked Paulie Gee's pizza.
The apartment was amazing. Lisa was there to greet us and help ease our transition to NYC life. I could not stop admiring the decor of the apartment. The east river ferry is only a block away making the commute into the city ridiculously easy. Delicious food and drinks are all within walking distance from the apartment.
The only con would be that the window unit is not strong enough to keep the apartment cool after coming back from our city adventures. Coming from southern Louisiana we are use to that and that one con would not stop us from staying at this beautiful gem.
