Guest Access

Entry is on garage side of home. Door has combination lock with password that changes with each new guest. Password is provided on the morning of check-in.

Interaction with Guests

Because entry is private and includes a combination lock, there may be little to no interaction with host. However, 24-hour/day availability is provided for any concerns or inquiries.

The Neighborhood

Buena Vista area is a splendid, quiet community that surrounds one of most beautiful parks in the city. Apartment is 1/2 block from Buena Vista Park.

Castro Street as well as Haight Street are a couple of blocks away on opposite directions. Both have different vibes and plenty of restaurant establishments and grocery stores.

Getting around

3-block walk to/from Duboce Muni train (public transportation). San Francisco uphills can be a challenge (or invigorating) for guests.

  • Annabelles home was spectacular! The interior was stunning and bed was very comfortable. In the bathroom she provided a ton of towels and anything that u will need for your stay. Not to forget to mention is that the studio had a wonderful garden outside! When I go to SF next time I will definitely live here again!

  • We had a great time at Annabelle's. Wonderful place in a beautiful neighborhood of the city. Close to nature, close to scenic spots, clause to dining and all the things which are important. Buena Vista Park is top top top :-) The interior is very stylish and the garden is lovely with a nice view over the city. Our host was very kind. Thanks for the possibility to stay. would book it again for the next stay in SF.

  • A beautiful apartment in a very good location. Also, Annabelle was very kind and helpful. We can definitely recommend her as a host to anyone thinking about going to SF!

  • The photos do a nice job of depicting the studio and the terrific view. It was a very comfortable place to hang out between outings during our couple days in SF, with a busy bus stop just a couple blocks away, and the Duboce & Noe Muni stop (N line) just a couple past that. Also easy walking access to Haight-Ashbury and Buena Vista Park. One note, especially for those new to SF: It is up a hill (as so many things in the city are), so you will get a workout walking in and out. I visit SF every couple years or so and will keep this place on my list.

  • Perfect stay. The set up is superb and the location as well. Nothing to complain about.

  • The pictures don't lie-this is a gorgeous space with all of the amenities you could ask for. This was a stop in the middle of a west coast road trip so we took advantage of the washer and dryer (we brought our own detergent).

It's a great location and had amazing views of the city, at the top of the hill you can see the GG bridge. We interacted with Annabelle briefly when we both arrived home at the same time and she was very cordial.

Make sure you have a clear understanding of the parking situation. The only thing I was unhappy about during this stay was the parking at the beginning. We were under the belief that the driveway was ours to use, and would possibly have to move it on occasion if Annabelle needed to move her car. We arrived after 9 hours in a car to find a car in the driveway. When we called, we were informed it was family that would be leaving soon.

We had to park a few blocks away and carry our stuff to the apartment. SF parking is very limited, 2 hours during the day, and if you aren't familiar with parking on those steep hills it was a bit intimidating. We had to move it the next morning and a car was still in the driveway. I eventually found a spot with no hourly limits. On our second full day the family car was gone but I didn't want to risk having to move it and find another no-limit spot so I left it where it was for the duration of the stay.

I was not happy that there was no effort to accommodate someone paying to stay there, wanting to take advantage of a listed amenity.

This probably won't affect most people visiting as most people don't use a car rental in the city however it was a stop on a road trip, and not having the car was not an option for us. We would stay again, without a car.

  • Annabelle's place was beautiful, modern and with a wonderful back patio that we used extensively. Her house is located perfectly, easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and parks. We can't say enough about how easy and wonderful everything was, we'll be back next year!

  • The apartment is well appointed and very clean. It is a studio in the basement, but it has a lot of light due to being a walk out and includes a beautiful garden with a view! Had use of a washer and dryer which was very nice.
Check in/out was very easy as the host provides a code to a lock door (changes after each guest). It allowed for a lot of flexiblity.
There was a small amount of foot traffic in the mornings, but this didn't bother us. Very quiet at night.
It's a hike up the hill, but well worth the view. :)
