About this listing
This is a great duplex in the heart of Brooklyn! The bedroom is huge w/ a queen sized bed,32' flat screen w/ Apple TV and Internet. Also, the apt. has a big kitchen & living room w/ a balcony facing the now famous Barclays Center. The amenities are endless!
The size for New York is great as well as just being so close to 4 different neighborhoods in Brooklyn is amazing. Great lighting also w/ our great balcony. Enjoy! Very cold A/C for the ️ months!

Interaction with Guests
I generally have a list of must see things that are happening at the time of my guests visits as well as all the close amenities and hot spots they should check out. If it works out I will sometimes show my guests around town and maybe even invite them to parties or events I attend. It's really up to the guest!
Great restaurants & bars in the area. Basically anything you need is a few steps away.
I'm am right across the street from the 2,3,4,5,6,R,N,B,D & Q Trains located conveniently in front of the Barclays Center
Other Things to Note
I have started a guided tour around the Ft. Greene and surrounding neighborhoods of Brooklyn which I will give a discount to all my guests. It involves great markets, restaurants, bars, parks and architecture along with a personal touch of my experiences while living here the past 12 years. My finger is very much on the pulse of what's new and hip in my local landscape. Come see for yourself and live like a local for the day or even week.
Please no loud music or horseplay in the house. Also,no smoking!!! Clean up after yourself and be courteous to my roommate. Thanks!
I do recommend this host and would stay again.
Location: literally 30 seconds of walking from barclay's stop. that gives you access to virtually anywhere in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Host communication: excellent. picked up the key from a local store (normal)
Safety: very safe.
Room: spacious! (surprisingly)
Amenities: all the basics included.
Noise: sure during the day but you should be out, right? ;)
during the night, quiet for NY/Brooklyn.
Overall, the place was great, clean, safe, and of good value (cost).
The host very communicative.
We spent the last two nights of our East Coast vacation in Alex's apartment - nice neighborhood and very close to Metro and Citi Bikes. Communicating with Alex was easy and the room matches the photos and the description. The first night I had to get used to the noise of the close main street, but the second night was okay.
I was traveling to Brooklyn for a quick overnight trip. Communication with Alex was great from from the outset. He was welcoming, friendly, and set me up with everything I could possibly need for a smooth visit. The room (and house in general) is bright, spacious, and comfortable. (I would've never gotten to sleep in such a comfortable bed staying in a hotel!) The place is covenient to the Metro and nestled in a neighborhood that is a nice mixture of big box retail, mom and pop shops, and restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again if my travels bring me back to Brooklyn! Thank you, Alex for opening up your space to me.
Alex was very quick to respond to my request and was there when I arrived to welcome me. Really great neighborhood.
Alex was great in communicating with me before and during our visit, and he was quite accommodating with our check-in scheduling. The apartment was in a great neighborhood where we felt safe and had easy access to the metro, stores, and restaurants.
This was a great room in a great apartment less than a block away from a major subway hub and the Barclays Center. Highly recommend staying here.
Perfect for what I needed. The timing of my arrival was tough with Alex's schedule but was very accommodating, and had a nearby shop keep the keys for me. Information was thorough and timely. Room was big for Brooklyn. Sweet location very central to several good neighborhoods and just next to a major transit hub that will get you anywhere.
