Located in Trastevere district, in the heart of Rome's historic centre, in a street known as "the street of Artists, Memory and Women", the B&B "La Zotta" is only walking distance away from the city's main attractions : St. Peter's Basilica, the Colosseum, the Forum, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon…..
Situated inside a 17th century building, "La Zotta" offers very bright and quiet rooms, overlooking Trastevere's traditional courtyards and gardens. All three rooms are both spacious and cosy and have been recently remodeled with the aim to combine the rich historical features of the premises with a contemporary look.
We really enjoyed our stay at LaZotta. The accommodation was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The neighbourhood was beautiful and convenient to walk to many of the sites. Pia was very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend in Rome.
Pia and her lovely B&B was exactly what we wanted for our short but lovely stay in Roma. She was so helpful and thoughtful with everything, including organising a door to door shuttle to the airport for €20, cheaper and easier than any other option in Rome! The room was great- we had a separate bathroom and the room and bathroom was sectioned off with a curtain which made it fine with privacy. We also loved the shared space with kitchen, with lots of light and interesting art to look at! Trastevere is a great area to stay. I would highly recommend this place and will stay again when I return to Rome! Thanks Pia!!
My wife Verena and I stayed with Pia for a couple days on a belated honeymoon in Italy. The private room and bathroom were clean and well apportioned. We also had a lock within the shared living area on the door to our specific room. A German couple was staying in another room at the same time and they were also lovely. Pia rented out two rooms for sure but possibly a third. We had a simple breakfast each morning (e.g., coffee, biscuits, bread, and jam) which was included. The location and the building felt very safe and secure. The place was beautiful and close to all the liveliness so we could walk around Trastevere and the city but just far enough that we escaped the noise. Her location is fantastic! After spending time in Roma you'll understand that you want to retreat after a long day of exploring sites and walking to a spot with local culture and food at your fingertips. Not the other way around. This is what you get in this neighborhood. Pia will also help get you situated with reservations and recommendations, etc... We would highly recommend staying with her and will do it again ourselves next time we're in the area.
