Michele and Marcos' guest house was perfect for our quick stay on Oahu. A nice, quiet, comfortable place with parking and a little kitchen. We cooked breakfast there most mornings and then hit the road and explored the island. Convenient and close to a beach park, grocery store, and a short drive into Waikiki/downtown Honolulu one way, and a beautiful scenic drive toward Hanauma Bay and Kailua the other. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our visit.
My parents and I spent 10 days in this cozy cottage. Marcos and Michele are very nice hosts and were very responsive to our questions/requests. The house is very easy for commuting and 2 blocks from a lovely beach. It is only 15-20 min drive to Waikiki and does not have the crowd or noise. The cottage gave us just enough privacy with a separate entrance and front yard. This place basically provided everything we needed only better than a hotel!
Marcos & Michele were welcoming & responsive hosts who respected our privacy. The cottage had plentiful & quick hot water for showering. The a/c & fan kept us cool & comfortable. Minimal cooking supplies for simple breakfast cooking. The full sized fridge was handy for our 1 week stay. The beach towels, beach chairs, cooler & outdoor drying rack were useful. The cottage is away from the hustle & bustle of Waikiki & Honolulu so guests need a car, although there is a bus stop nearby.
This was our first airbnb experience and we were very satisfied. The cottage was clean and (website hidden), dishes, toiletries, air conditioning, parking, extra beach towels, it was quiet, and conveniently located for me as I had family around the area I was visiting and it was near driving distance to some of our favorite beaches. Marcos and Michele were nice folks!
The apartment was clean and quiet, and the hosts were very friendly. This is a great location if you plan to rent a car - its walking distance to a shopping center with a Foodland Farms (very similar to Whole Foods) and some cute restaurants, and its a short drive to many of the tourist attractions on the island.
Nice, cute cottage. Great for it's price.
If you need a break from the madness of Waikiki without going broke, Michele's is the place. Good location near town and grocery store, eateries, off street parking, quiet tranquil location. If you want to be walking distance from tourist options in Waikiki, stay there. If not and you want a far more relaxed atmosphere, stay here.
Perfect location for those wanting to be close to Waikiki, but not wanting the hustle and bustle of the touristy crowds. Convenient to shopping (groceries, eateries, etc.), convenient to jumping on the "highway", convenient to sights like Hanauma Bay and Diamond Head. Quick walk to a quiet/small stretch of beach with amenities. Lovely little apt to spend your time on Oahu. We had more than we needed- there were beach towels, a small cooler, condiments, kitchen supplies, etc. Hosts were helpful with questions and helped when I needed a small favor! Roy's is pretty close by... eat at Roy's Hawaii if you have a chance- it's down the street to the East. Also, I never go to Oahu without going to Ono Hawaiian Food and Rainbow Drive In.
The cottage was really nice, very quiet and cosy. I stayed there with my two kids and really appreciated Michele and Carlos's hospitality. They were both helpful and gave us tips on where to go on the island. Mahalo to both of you!
We enjoyed our stay at Marcos and Michele's cottage. We arrived late, and Marcos was super helpful in getting us situated in the cottage. I slept on the couch, which was comfortable. The space was clean and pleasantly cozy, the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinners. Marcos even offered us a free class at their yoga studio. The location outside of Honolulu was perfect for us, and it was nice to retreat somewhere quieter for evenings.
