The Space

I'm excited to welcome you to Boulder!

Stunning architecture this updated 1960 house is a gem in Boulder. Perched high on Mount Sanitas this house is built into the cliff even featuring a rock outcropping in the living room. A six minute drive to downtown (11 minutes on a bike that you can borrow from me or 35 minutes by walking on trails) this place is the best of both worlds. Experience the mountains and the city. The deck is amazing for watching the sun set while enjoying a meal or drink.

Your bed will be a 12" Memory Foam bed with a bamboo cover with 800 thread count sheets.

I have two guest rooms, so mention if you need them both (I put up another listing so check "A Modern Boulder Cliffhanger (2nd)" for availability). Booking this gets you a floor to ceiling window view of the valley and a private bathroom.

I went traveling for three years around the world (39 countries) and now have a house to host awesome travelers. I've stayed in many Airbnb's and have built in all my favorite things about what I needed as a traveler! Excited to be your host.

  • Andrew is the consummate host. Has great beer, makes epic pancakes and has a truly magical place to stay. I want to go back to Boulder simply so I can hang out at this place once again. He's why AibBnb can be such a wonderful experience.

  • Andrew is such a friendly and interesting person as well as a very helpful and knowledgable host! He was kind enough to host us on short notice after our other plans fell through - which turned out to be quite fortunate for us! Even though he happened to be expecting friends for the weekend, he made us feel very welcome in his home and at the same time provided plenty of privacy. He had lots of great suggestions for things to do and places to go in the area... and his home was just as interesting as the conversation! Staying with Andrew definitely offered a much richer experience than if we had simply stayed in a hotel and made our long weekend in Boulder relaxing AND memorable!

  • Andrew is an amazing host with a beautiful home. If you're heading though for work or pleasure I would highly recommend staying at the "Hyde-out"

  • the house is so neat! just a little ways out from boulder proper. is for the adventourist! up a canyon (just a three minute drive), down the dirt road! a beautiful oasis.. andrew wasn't there when i was but he was in full contact and really helpful. he lent his house out to a couple who had been in the flood and needed a place to stay, and they were friendly and awesome. slightly rustic with modern kitchen and all the fixing, tons of quite space for reading/lounging. great escape.

  • Our stay at Andrews cliffhanger was perfect. Andrew was a great host! (he even had dinner waiting for us when we arrived). He is relaxed and very easy to get along with. We shared some nice time socialising and had privacy if and when we needed it. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Boulder.

  • Andrew was a great host and his place was amazing! The views were phenomenal and Andrew had everything we needed! Andrew is the type of host that will make you feel comfortable and will hang out with you, or let you do your own thing. My wife and I were really pleased with our stay and we would stay again if we returned to Boulder!

  • Andrew set a new standard for hospitality, and our stay with him exemplifies the night-and-day difference you can get between an Airbnb stay and a hotel experience.

Andrew's house is just as beautiful as it looks on the photos. The views from the bedrooms and the decks are truly spectacular, the kitchen is top-of-the-line, and the living room is very comfortable (with awesome acoustics for music).

Moreover, Andrew is a very generous host. He cooks superb meals (he made us 3 spectacular dinners in our 7 days in Boulder), offers great tips on things to do in Boulder (hiking trails, bars, restaurants, etc), and he's very easy to live with, which makes you really feel at home in his house (not always the case when the host is in their house while you're staying there).

For all of these reasons, I highly recommend staying at Andrew's and I look forward to staying there again next time I'm in Boulder!

  • I met Andrew when he was visiting Switzerland last year, and when it was time to plan a trip to Boulder, I knew who to ask for the best accomodation. Little did I expect that it was actually Andrew’s own place!

Andrew is a great host. Always fun to talk to, he knows Boulder incredibly well and was able to answer all my questions and give me valuable tips to explore the area. He even suggested an amazing road bicycle route that made my week.

And while Andrew and the house perched into the hillside are wonderful, the location is even better. Expect stunning sunsets and sunrises while sitting on the deck outside. Oh, that deck! I hope to be back soon again!

Hello travelers! I just settled down from a three year round the world trip in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I love cooking, getting outside as much as I can and meeting interesting people. I'm lucky enough to have traveled a lot in my life. I've been to 49 states and the following countries: Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, and the UK. My favorite three would have to be Australia, Lebanon and Colombia (although I have had great experiences everywhere). I'm a fan of Bluegrass, the American Southwest and how to make the most out of traveling.
