I have a small room available with a twin bed. The mattress is brand new. The apartment is on the 5th floor of a walk-up building in east Williamsburg. The place is small (500 sq ft), and the two bedrooms are separated by the kitchen. Also the apartment is closet-less, but the room for rent comes with a clothes rack and hangers, as well as a dresser and a small desk/chair.
I currently live in the apartment with one pet - a black male cat. He is super friendly and social. The kitchen & bathroom are shared spaces.
Please note that the apartment is on the 5th floor and there is no elevator, so you must be comfortable with climbing stairs.
Public transportation includes the L, JMZ, and G trains. The location is the best! I am still quite close to the main part of Williamsburg, but removed enough that it still feels like a real neighborhood. It takes about 20 minutes to get into Manhattan. New restaurants and bars are opening up monthly in the neighborhood. Laundry can be done across the street.
I have been living in this apartment for many years, and although it's a simple, bare-bones space, I do take good care of it (rooms have been freshly painted recently!) and hope to find guests who can also appreciate it for what it is — an affordable spot in a fantastic location.
I usually work during the daytime, so please no odd hours — there is virtually no sound insulation between rooms. Since the place is very tiny, I do expect guests to keep the space very clean. There is no maid service.
It's a great place to stay, very clean and cosy, you even see the Empire State Building from your window. It was very convenient to go anywhere in the city with G, J, M and L trains. Erin was very friendly and she helped me a lot with my luggage and gave useful advices when I had any questions. We didn't talk much to each other and in that way it was a bit different experience with Airbnb but anyway it was very good to stay there. And Leo is a cutie :)
Erin is a great host!! I really enjoyed my stay at her cozy place. Her home is very well kept and comfortable. The neighborhood is centrally located and has a great vibe. My favorite part of the stay was her adorable and friendly cat, Leo. I highly recommend Erin's place as I would stay there again.
Erin was a fantastic host! Very laid-back, friendly and helpful when necessary. Leo the cat will also make you feel welcome! The apartment was very comfortable to stay in, it had everything that I needed and it was kept clean and tidy. The location is great as there are 3 train lines nearby that will get you to Manhattan and other parts of NY easily. There are restaurants, bars and bodegas within walking distance, whick make this place incredibly convenient. I have nothing baaaaad to say about this place so I'd recommned this place highly to anyone going to NYC!
Erin was a great host, she is very friendly and helped me whenever I needed help. Her cat Leo is also very friendly and he is playful and cuddly. The apartment and the room were very clean, the room is very colorful and nice. The apartment has a good location as the neighborhood is safe, there is everything you need in walking distance, and it is right next to some subways so it is easy getting anywhere. Manhattan is only a short ride away. I had a great time staying there and would recommend it to anyone.
Erin is a great host! It was a pleasure staying at her place. Her place is clean, centrally located, and very comfortable. Erin herself is polite, accommodating, and friendly! The neighborhood has every convenience one would need within walking distance! I had a fantastic experience staying there and hope to stay there again another time when I'm in New York!
I had the best time at Erins apartment. Erin is super sweet and friendly and good to help you with questions etc.
I really enjoy the small room which was perfect for me. I especially enjoy to sit in the window and look at the street and read. It is a really good and safe neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaurants and it is easy to get around to the other parts of Brooklyn and to Manhatten. Most important for me was that I felt at home with Erin and her lovely cat Leo. I hope I in the near furture will get the opportunity to stay with them again.
I was in NYC for a week for work and needed an inexpensive place to sleep. This turned out to be the perfect little room as a base in Brooklyn. Convenient to 3 train lines, which is very nice for getting anywhere. The apartment was very clean and organized beautifully with minimalist design. Erin's a very pleasant host and recommended a few restaurants in the neighborhood. Her cat is awesome and loves attention!
I'm a graphic designer who strives to live a practical and creative life! In my spare time I love making music, dancing, and cooking healthy food. I live with a super friendly black cat named Leo.
