I have a small room available with a twin bed. The mattress is brand new. The apartment is on the 5th floor of a walk-up building in east Williamsburg. The place is small (500 sq ft), and the two bedrooms are separated by the kitchen. Also the apartment is closet-less, but the room for rent comes with a clothes rack and hangers, as well as a dresser and a small desk/chair.
I currently live in the apartment with one pet - a black male cat. He is super friendly and social. The kitchen & bathroom are shared spaces.
Please note that the apartment is on the 5th floor and there is no elevator, so you must be comfortable with climbing stairs.
Public transportation includes the L, JMZ, and G trains. The location is the best! I am still quite close to the main part of Williamsburg, but removed enough that it still feels like a real neighborhood. It takes about 20 minutes to get into Manhattan. New restaurants and bars are opening up monthly in the neighborhood. Laundry can be done across the street.
I have been living in this apartment for many years, and although it's a simple, bare-bones space, I do take good care of it (rooms have been freshly painted recently!) and hope to find guests who can also appreciate it for what it is — an affordable spot in a fantastic location.

I was in NYC for a week for work and needed an inexpensive place to sleep. This turned out to be the perfect little room as a base in Brooklyn. Convenient to 3 train lines, which is very nice for getting anywhere. The apartment was very clean and organized beautifully with minimalist design. Erin's a very pleasant host and recommended a few restaurants in the neighborhood. Her cat is awesome and loves attention!
Erin was a great host and she was always ready to help me when I needed. Her place is colorful, beautiful and she takes a really good care of it! The neighborhood is safe and you can find a lot of things just a few blocks away. I had an amazing time and couldn't be in a better place!!
Erin was a delight to live with! She is very accommodating and hospitable. The area is great, right next to multiple subways and just a short train ride away from Manhattan. Little Leo is also very cuddly and loves to make new friends. I thoroughly enjoyed living here and would recommend it to anyone!
