We had a great time staying with Mary at Woodlands. We were welcomed by her husband and gorgeous dog Millie and shown to our room, equipped with the most comfortable beds and a huge bathroom (wet room). In addition, we had our own sitting room to relax in. Mary was more than happy to cater to our various breakfast preferences and the Irish breakfast was delicious. The location was stunning - lovely to be totally off the beaten track in the middle of the countryside but within reach of Kinvara, where we had a fantastic supper. Mary is a wonderful hostess, I only wish we had been able to stay longer. Thank you!
Mary was very kind and welcoming to my family. There was a miscommunication with how many people we were bringing, but we all fit just fine, and there was no need for the apology! It all worked out. The location of this B&B is absolutely gorgeous, with flowers in full bloom all over the grounds, and set in a rural area. It was about 10 minutes from the town of Kinvarra where all the restaurants/shops are. A lovely town! Two border collies greeted us as we pulled up and were very friendly. We had two rooms and both were comfortable and allowed us a good night's sleep. The breakfast Mary made us in the morning was delicious and we were stuffed! She was so accommodating with our children too, made them their own breakfasts and everything! The only negative was that the wifi didn't work well for us. I think it only allows a few people on at a time and only one of us was ever able to get a signal, but that wasn't a huge deal as we needed to head to bed anyways! If we were staying longer, it would have been nice to have a stronger wifi signal. but also, it's a bit rural so the signal just might not be very strong out there!
Mary a été adorable, elle a attendu notre arrivée tardive dans la nuit et nous as même servis le thé. La maison est propre et cosy, rien à redire, mais prévoyez une voiture si vous voulez vous y rendre.
Mary was a fabulous host from start to finish! She welcomed us with a warm smile, tea, and the cutest tartlets I’d ever seen. Her house is nestled in the country-side and offers gorgeous views out the dining room window. The room we stayed in and adjoining bathroom are spacious and very well cared for. But it was Mary herself who really made our experience so delightful. We loved talking with her and wished we had spent more nights with her. She truly exceeded our expectations. Not only did she drive out to meet us in town when we could not initially find her house, she helped us locate some resources to look up information on our family’s Irish roots. She even sent me info after we had checked out. Her recommendations of sites to see on the way to the Cliffs of Moher were also a hit. Plus, she has two absolutely adorable and playful dogs! For anyone allergic to dogs, don’t worry-- they are not out all of the time. Mary was kind enough to let me play with them since I was missing my dog. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Mary was a lovely host - very helpful and she has an extremely clean and tidy house - it is very comfortable a bit out of town but not too hard to find - you have your own private TV and dining room - Mary is very organised and will go out of her way to look after you wonderfully ! She is also knowledgable and a great help if you need it with local attractions and day trips
Mary was wonderful. She came into town to pick us up. We never would have found her place any other way. Her B&B is set out in the country. It is very peaceful. Her dogs great you happily and are quick to start a game of catch with you. Mary was very helpful in explaining where various sights were nearby. On her recommendation we went into Kinavara and a wonderful dinner with live music. A real highlight of our trip.
