ENTRY LEVEL & MASTER BEDROOM
Upon arrival, drop your boots and bags at the entry bench just inside the front door. This level features the Master Bedroom with en-suite bath (tub/shower), smart TV for guests (log into their preferred streaming channels), and remote-operated gas stove for heating and ambiance. Luggage and hanging rack provided. Full size washer/dryer is also located on this level. Please note that the front door opens into this bedroom space but provides the most convenient route to bring in luggage or after a long day on the slopes. When you are ready to call it a night, doors are located at the stairs to provide privacy from the main living area above.

MAIN FLOOR
Spacious Living Room with amazing wall of windows and vaulted A-frame open beam ceiling. This is our favorite space in the house! Relax on the leather sofa and gaze out at the falling snow or amazing afternoon sunlight. Remote-operated gas stove provides great heating and the perfect ambiance! Watch your favorite shows and sports on the living room TV (for guests to log into their preferred streaming channels).

The kitchen is well appointed with full-size appliances and provides for the visiting chef, complete with microwave and toaster oven. We love to cook and drink coffee, so you will have your choice of traditional drip coffee maker, French press and a kettle for the tea drinkers. This level also has a full bathroom, with tub/shower, and the Office. This room with door, offers privacy and remote work needs and has a couch, luggage rack and closet space.

LOFT
Ship-style stairs lead from main floor to the camp-inspired kid’s loft. The perfect spot to hang out, the loft has everything the kids need to enjoy their stay – toys, a TV, and mini sofas/fold-out chairs for chilling. To get to the loft, guests will have to use the ship-style stairs which are angled (like a ship!), so this area is most appropriate for elementary aged kids and up. Please see photos to determine if they work for you. We recommend going down backwards for the most support.

BACK YARD:
The back door opens to nature with just a few houses visible in the distance. Backing up to Tahoe Conservation land provides amazing scenery, rocks and trees, but also means we have frequent wildlife wandering by! Please be aware that you may see bear, coyotes, or wolves in the early morning and evening hours. Absolutely do not leave food, trash or any items that offer a smell (lotion, sunscreen, etc.) in any outdoor space or your car – it will invite curious creatures.
**Please note: Fires of any kind (including charcoal grills) are no longer allowed in Short Term Rentals in Placer County. Thank you for understanding**

HEATING & COOLING
Kings Beach A-Frame has central heating operated by a Nest Thermostat on the main level. The temperature will be set when guests arrive, and we ask that you keep it between 63 and 72 during your stay. Both the lower level and main level have gas stove heating as well, which keeps the cabin nice and toasty warm on cool days/nights.

The cabin does not have air conditioning. AC is not common in the Tahoe area. During the warmest months, consider opening a few windows at night to bring in that cool air, then close-up during the day. Luckily, Tahoe cools off considerably at night.

PARKING:
On-site parking. The parking area/driveway is not very deep, so if you have a longer/larger vehicle, consider the space best for 2 or 3 cars parked at an angle.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests will be provided with a personalized entry code for access prior to arrival.

WEATHER ISSUES
Please note that weather can be difficult for travel in our mountain community, especially during peak winter months. We cannot offer refunds or cancellations for weather, therefore we recommend you acquire "cancel for any reason" trip insurance. This will allow you to book with confidence and cancel if a storm or sickness or family emergency should make travel not possible.

EV CHARGING: We do not have a dedicated EV charger on-site, but there are locations available in the North Lake Tahoe area.

ISSUES or CONCERS
This is our family cabin and we care deeply about its care and maintenance. We check the house regularly and pride ourselves in completing repairs as soon as possible. We rely on our kind guests to let us know if something is amiss. Thank you, in advance, for your help!

I spend too much time: On Pinterest!
Hi! I’m a California native with a soft spot for old houses and neighborhood character. Charming streets, historic homes, great restaurants, quaint local shops, and easily walkable. When not at home, my family and I love to hike, camp or enjoy a day on the water. We are avid campers and hope to visit most National Parks in our teardrop trailer. Cooking, baking, good beer and wine are high on my list - as is college football!
